Overview & Reviews
The Audi A4 has a few new powertrain options this year for the V6. Specifically, the V6 can now be equipped with a six-speed manual on all-wheel-drive sedans and wagons. The V6 can also be ordered this year for a front-drive A4 sedan with the continuously variable transmission (CVT). The only other significant change this year is the "S-line" name for the sport package.
- Sharp handling
- Available all-wheel drive
- Generous maintenance program.
- Classy, well-constructed interiors
- Precise steering
- Engines short on low-end torque, tight backseat.

A Great Car - 2006 Audi A4
By Johnnyrocket - June 16 - 5:39 pmI have owned my Audi for nearly two years and have put a considerable amount of miles on it. Ive only needed to bring it in once outside of its scheduled maintenance for a minor problem (engine coolant leak). This car is beautifully designed, and drives like a sports car. Handles phenomenally in snowy/icy conditions and like a dream on dry pavement. Im not rich so when I buy a car its a big deal (I must have spent 6 mos deciding and comparing other vehicles!), but I dont think for the money I could have made a better choice!

THE best car Ive ever had - 2006 Audi A4
By Gigi - April 25 - 12:53 amThe car is so amazing... I blasted a Bimmer from a stoplight the other day! It has the sweetest V6 Ive ever driven, and with the manual it really works. quattro has been helpful with the starting of frost in my area of Vermont. The interior is beautiful, and the car itself looks beautiful. The first time I saw it, it was iffy, but now every time I see it, it looks better. I got mine in black over beige leather.

I would do it again!!! - 2006 Audi A4
By Ken~WI - April 23 - 2:57 pm18 Months and 35K+ miles later: I would do it again, "Buy Another Certified Audi Vehicle". 29MPG Highway occasional better. Incredible in snow of any depth here in Southern WI. Zero Maintenance issues!!!!!! Just replaced the OEM Continental Tires at 60K+ miles. Purchased Ultra High Performance Eagle GTs from Goodyear. Great looking, fun to Drive, head turning vehicle. Everything I had hoped for when buying my first European AWD Car. Be sure to ask about the interest rate for Certified Used, the extended warranty and the service package up to 100K Miles. 12 more months and Im searching for a 2008 or 2009.

First Time Owner - 2006 Audi A4
By A4Driver - March 4 - 12:20 pmMy husband and I had researched used A4s for the last year, and finally found one with the right features. Because we bought it with under 30k miles and the previous owner had taken exceptional care of it, it feels like a brand new car. The handling is WONDERFUL the car has the optional sport suspension, and it makes a difference. There is plenty of power, and the the car purrs getting onto the freeway. Its also very comfortable inside, and everything about it feels posh. Im looking forward to driving this car for the next few years!

Sexy from the outside but the inside - 2006 Audi A4
By Sam - February 22 - 10:23 amI love this car. The first time I saw the front grill I thought it was the new A6. When I found out it was the A4, went right to the dealer and picked one up. cornering with this car and manipulating the brake assistant and other intelligent technology features makes the ride more fun than even my old 2004 C 230k. Example just try to turn driving and braking way too late; you will be amazed at what this car does! Also cornering at higher speeds than normal feels great but will speeding up feels even beter.

My First (but not last) Audi - 2006 Audi A4
By Tae - February 19 - 4:56 amI had to choose between a 06 Infiniti G35 Coupe 6MT and an 06 Audi A4 6MT Q. I test drove both and fell in love with this car! Mine is a Black with Ebony interior, Premium package, Tech package with Bluetooth, S-line package, and a sunroof. Drive is very stimulating, handling is extremly responsive (the S-line is well worth it if you are not going to mod the car), power is plentful with lots of torque for a small engine. Brakes are adequate with great stopping power. The 2.0t has virtually no turbo lag. It feels as strong or stronger than the older models 3.0 V6 (but with much better fuel economy). Definitely get the Quattro. I live in San Diego and the twisties are amazing with AWD.

First Audi - 2006 Audi A4
By Dkelly846 - January 28 - 5:56 amThis is my first Audi I was going to buy a used 2000 A 4 After driving it for the day I went to the dealership and leased a new one. I own a G35, ES 300 and Maxima SE . This is by far the the most fun to drive. I added Electronics package and Ocean Blue Pearl paint (awesome). If you own a Bluetooth phone the Electronic package is a MUST! I think I would prefer a larger engine. Im not crazy about the turbo around town but on the open road the car is a scream. Good thing it has a speed alarm! The six speed tip tronic transmission is sensational. Its brain automatically downshifts to first when you stop. The cruise control is the best I have ever used

Audi A4 Avant 2.0T - 2006 Audi A4
By paul - January 27 - 3:10 pmGreat car. 6 speed automatic transmission is a little quirky. But the sport transmission feature is fun to drive. Acceleration is excellent for a 4 cyl engine. Interior is very quiet, roomy and comfortable. I dont like the seat belt/door open/headlight alarm. Very annoying and rather loud. Brake dust is excessive. Other than that, I really enjoy every aspect of the car.

Really good choice! - 2006 Audi A4
By Brendan Livingston - January 18 - 1:22 amI bought the car scared of having huge maintenance costs, however. it has cost me less than my Honda Odyssey. All i needed to do were a oil change, tires, and a cracked windshield. Find one well maintained and youll be set. Drives like a dream.

Awesome A4 2.0T Quattro S Line - 2006 Audi A4
By KeithB - December 1 - 11:30 pmThis is truly an awesome car. It is a blast to drive the 6 speed manual on the country roads over here. Today I went for a drive and enjoyed 35MPG. Responsive engine, German engineering and handling for a reasonable cost. Cant beat it!!! Oh... I forgot to mention we can buy 98.6 Octane petrol here (Shell Optimax) and that cant hurt.
