The Cabriolet is now available with all-wheel drive, while all A4s now come standard with a tire-pressure monitoring system, revised steering wheels and two-stage airbags. The 1.8T models have been upgraded with 16-inch aluminum wheels and now offer a six-speed manual transmission as an option.

- Price goes up quickly with options, engines short on low-end torque, sport package makes for a choppy ride.

Excellent Vehicle - 2004 Audi A4
By jb1170 - September 18 - 2:00 amI have owned this vehicle for a year now. It performs beautifully, and gets great mileage. Fun to drive around town, performs great on the highway, and is extremely quick for a 4 cyl with the tip-tronic transmission. If you can push a button, then you know how to use the top. Comes standard with numerous comfort options. If you are interested in a convertable in this category then I highly recommend looking at this vehicle. You wont be disappointed.

By dandriver - September 15 - 2:00 amMy Avant is the most fun, best handling car Ive ever had and that includes a 78 911SC! Its also practical, Ive loaded a 32" TV into the back and hauled bags of lawn supplies. To me its a more practical version of the Mini.

The Audi Experience - 2004 Audi A4
By Robert B - September 9 - 2:00 amI purchased my vehicle 4 months ago. It has spent 2 weeks and going in the shop with an electrical problem. Audi of America has brought no value to resolve the issue or expediate the repair of this $35,000 paper weight. Its a beautiful car if you dont have a desire in driving it. Overall, the car had been a fun driving vehicle despite the cramp quarters.

More power please! - 2004 Audi A4
By second gen A4 owner - September 3 - 2:00 amThis is my second A4 (3.0 black ext, black int, with ultra sport package and all options except nav). The car is superb in almost every way - e.g. elegant exterior lines understated, luxuriously appointed cabin superior storage and authoritative passing power. The only realy fault of the car is its not entirely adequate 220hp 3.0 engine. While not anemic, this power plant simply does not have enough muscle to move the A4s considerable weight with any alacrity, especially at starts and lower city speeds (0-45 mph) where it cooperates but not very willingly and with way too much drama. Considering the S4 is USD 12k plus away, the A4 needs more uumph.

By Jplyman - August 26 - 2:00 amThis car is so much fun and performs great. I looked at Volvo S60, BMW 325i, and Saab 9-3 Arc this was bye far the best value of these cars. I have 6-speed so the performance is excellent and I dont think you can get any better car for the money.

By bmwr60 - August 25 - 2:00 amTremendous vehicle to drive and practical as well. Previously owned Passat with same engine. The Audi is much more fun to drive and gives great confidence with the quattro all-wheel drive. Beautiful subdued styling with all the things you need, but nothing you dont.

By fadious - August 14 - 2:00 amThe car has performed perfectly so far. The dealer was very accomodating in the only service needed. This is my third Audi and the build quality has definitely improved. The car feels a lot more luxurious than a C class Mercedes and much more fun to drive.

By jhpa - August 12 - 2:00 amWhile searching for a new car, I looked at the 3-series, G35, and A4. I have not regretted my decision! Gearshifts are flawless, turbo gives me power when I need a boost, road grip and driver response are excellent, craftmanship is first rate, aesthetically pleasing (inside and out), standard sound system is better than BMWs harmon kardon premium, excellent warranty (1st pair of brake pads, oil changes, servicing are all free), and its turning radius helps me corner through the small streets in SF! I test drove the 3.0 as well and besides the 0-60 and top-line acceleration, there is little difference.
