Model Overview:

The Audi A4 holds the distinction of having single-handedly revived the Audi brand. Launched in the mid-'90s, the compact A4 quickly became a favorite among luxury car buyers thanks to its beautifully finished cabin, sharp handling and available Quattro all-wheel drive. Although the A4 has offered these core characteristics from day one, it has become increasingly polished and high-tech with each successive generation. No matter which year you're looking at, the A4 promises both engaging performance and suave style inside and out.

The sedan body style has been a constant for the Audi A4, but depending on the vintage, you may also find wagon and convertible variants. Turbocharged four-cylinder power is typically found under the hood, yielding both reasonably spirited acceleration and satisfactory fuel economy. In road tests, we've consistently praised the A4's refined character, with more recent plaudits going to its spacious backseat, which has adequate room for full-size adults.

when the top is up you have blind spots backing up. really should have auto head lamps, for the price. the car mats are really cheap for the price of the car.

  • Vastly Underrated! - 2006 Audi A4

This car is underrated, even by myself! I always loved audis but never seriously considered getting one. This is my first one and boy is it fun! I have the Sunroof package and Premium package. The price is just right, the amenities are perfect, for 35k you simply cannot do better. They say its 7.1secs/0-60mph, but I would think its definitely in the high 6s. Its fast, extremely fun and sexy looking, thats the bottom line!

The A4 is one great car. It lacks a great fuel economy, but otherwise, shows much hope for Audi. The four- banger does a lot of damage to even many 6s on the road. It is agile, although very slow on the initial pickup (in fact, like molasses). The turning on the car is the best Ive ever seen except for that on my S55. Comfort wise, for such a small car, its fun and humble. The seats are great. The steering is fabulous. The car is damn awesome. The Xenons though, make a weird step-like shape rather than a smooth line. It is, though, an exceptionally beautiful car.

  • Awesome... - 2003 Audi A4

The Audi A4 is a very well-built and solid car, with a near-perfect balance of luxury and sport. I extensively test drove both the 3.0 and the 1.8T and did not find the power difference enough to justify the $5k price premium. Turbo lag is minimal, contrary to what reviewers ReallyBad and turbohoax have said. In fact, if you read their comments, it is quite obvious that they are one and the same person. Hmmm, wonder if this person has ever heard of a "test drive". Drive both cars to make your own judgment.

Compared the BMW, Mercedes, Audi and Toyota for value. The Audi offers the greatest bang for our buck. With the top up you would not even know that you are in a convertible. Very quiet on the highway. Excellent backseat for our 5 and 6 year old. Other than turbo lag at the bottom end, she is an excellent performer.

  • Very First Audi - 2006 Audi A4

My last car was a 318ti BMW, which was so much fun to drive, that I thought for sure I would buy another BMW. The RWD BMW was nearly impossible, though, in our Wisconsin winters, so I went in search of a performance car that could also handle snow and ice. Also, I was making the move from manual to automatic, reluctantly, worried I would lose out on performance. The Audi A4 Quattro was the perfect choice. The Tiptronic is the automatic option for those whod rather drive a stick. AWD bites onto the road, even in slippery conditions. (Ill let you know when the snow hits.) Interior is beautiful: tan leather w/birch wood trim... I cant wait to drive to work everyday! Love this car!

Had the car for about 6 mos. now and have no real complaints. Just about everything is perfectly engineered in this car.

I couldnt be happier with my A4. The design and features this car has is amazing. There are so many cool features I learn about all the time. At this point in time I cant imagine another car I would want over this one. This car is built so much better than most others of the road and the engineering is amazing. Most car makers have a long way to go to be on par with Audi. I personally feel that the car has plenty of power. I never seem to be needing any more than I have at hand. Highly Recommended.

  • Love my car - 2017 Audi A4

This is my first Audi. Before buying I drove a BMW 328i xdrive and a Mercedes c class. They were all very nice cars but I fell for the Audi and love it. Most of the complaints that I read are about the shifter and the way you have to put it in Park, but I think that Audi got that right. It is easy and intuitive. I dont understand the people that complain about it. It works so much better than the conventional system. It is so quiet inside. The ride is fantastic. Handles great. My son borrowed it for a couple days. He told me that on his way home from work he found himself taking the longest route available so he could just drive it longer. Its the first car Ive had that when I have nothing to do, I just take it and go for a drive.
