Model Overview:

The Audi A4 holds the distinction of having single-handedly revived the Audi brand. Launched in the mid-'90s, the compact A4 quickly became a favorite among luxury car buyers thanks to its beautifully finished cabin, sharp handling and available Quattro all-wheel drive. Although the A4 has offered these core characteristics from day one, it has become increasingly polished and high-tech with each successive generation. No matter which year you're looking at, the A4 promises both engaging performance and suave style inside and out.

The sedan body style has been a constant for the Audi A4, but depending on the vintage, you may also find wagon and convertible variants. Turbocharged four-cylinder power is typically found under the hood, yielding both reasonably spirited acceleration and satisfactory fuel economy. In road tests, we've consistently praised the A4's refined character, with more recent plaudits going to its spacious backseat, which has adequate room for full-size adults.

The new A4 design is a redesigned automobile based somewhat on the Audi Q7 cabinet. Audi was smart enough to keep somewhat of the same exterior design. They were smart enough to add technology to the interior cabinet in place of big outside body changes. With that said, the inside cabinet has totally changed - for the BETTER. There is more room and comfort, better placement of hand controls, a well-placed cup holder, and three very smart user display areas across the center console, driver dashboard, and windshield . Compared to the previous model, it is a comfortable rocketship with added safely technology and conveniences surrounding the entire cabinet, including the heated back seats. The only big drawback is the Apple CarPlay needs to be connected via a cable and not via wireless bluetooth. Yes, we are Apple iPhone users. Another concern is BMW, Mercedes, and other car manufacturers moving away from Apple, since they are supposedly building their own car line. My questions are: will Audi stay up-to-date with Apple upgrades and changes, or move away? And even if they stay with Apple or Android, can these new designs - Apple CarPlay and their GPS accept a software upgrade? In regards to the new A4, I would recommend it. The changes are enough to get me to the showroom. Hats off to the online marketing department. In regard to price, it is pricer with all the new option stuff. In closing, I will probably buy one in June because my wife loves her A4, I love her, and its time to trade up. Good luck with the car hunting!

I loved the A4 but the BMW 330i won with me. More fun to drive (BMW is the ultimate driving machine). BMW had a much better sales team too.

Just got the car, so this is my initial reaction review. After I drive it a year or so Ill put in another review. But right now I LOVE this car. The handling is great, the steering wheel (adaptive steering) is a godsend, the color (deep blue pearl) is beautiful, the acceleration is strong and the engine roar is sexy (too bad Im still breaking it in, so nothing over 5000 rpm yet), and the safety and interior features are very well designed. I personally liked how the manual drove on this car than the 2006 325xi, and the Quattro system is much better. I think this car is a keeper!

For this price, cant beat the luxury and build quality. Thought Mercedes C- Class would be better, but A4 topped it hands down. C-Class felt cheap and Bimmer interior not on par though Bimmer has a slight edge in performance. Solid ride, tight turns, ambient red light environment is addictive at night. Everything sounds like an expensive engineering feat. Love this car!!!

Build quality edges Bimmers, Benzes, and Lexuses. While reliability leaves some to be desired, this may be an improvement with this new model.

I chose Audi over BMW mainly because of styling and performance. The BMW has become boring looking to me, and there are too many of them on the road. The Audi has a crisper look and feel. The interior is more luxurious, and the seats are more supportive. The CVT transmission takes some getting used to. It is not as fast off the line as the BMW, but the absence of any noticeable shifting is very luxurious feeling. Side by side, the Audi A-4 just has it all over the BMW. CAUTION: BUY ONLY THE 3.0 V-6. The 1.8 is hopelessly underpowered. BUY THIS CAR. Youll love it!

After deliberating and driving everything including Acura TL, Infiniti GX, Saab and BMW 5 Series (3 series seemed too small), I concluded this was the best of the bunch and best value for the money. Quality is outstanding, 3.0 engine is smooth and powerful, has great looks and interior is as nice as anything I have seen. Further, where traction is any kind of issue the quattro cant be beat. Really seems to be the best looking yet most practical sports sedan out there right now.
