Excellent car, but may feel a bit small, especially in the back seat. For driving and a sense of security and control - none better. Couldnt beat it on snow and ice (I came out of a SAAB, thought that one was good before getting into the AUDI. Dealership very good incl service

This is the best car that I have ever had. The only complaint that I have is the fuel ecomony.....

Our Avant is a great car. Its fun to drive and the styling is great. We have had our share of mechanical issues but it still beats driving the less than inspiring others.

Bought my 1999 A4 2.8 manual shift used with 28,000 miles on it and have loved it every step of the way to its current 110,000 miles and counting. Ride has remained firm and car is solid and tight. I highly recomend the larger engine to the smaller engine with turbo, otherwise youre just going to be too underpowered and frustrated. It is important to remember though, that this is a german car not japanese and does require a certain degree of regular maintenance, which Ive found to be $800 a year on average, all in, to keep things in top condition. Id definitely buy another Audi!

  • My A4 is great - 1999 Audi A4

A very fun car to drive in the city and on the highway. Fun in the mountains as well. Great performance, enjoyed the tiptronic. The suspension performs very well. Enjoyed the 1.8T engine, good power.

  • Great car, maintenance expensive - 1999 Audi A4

I have never had any part fail on me in 90k miles. It has however been expensive to keep just the regular dealer-recommended maintenance schedule. It seems like no matter what I get replaced, its $1000. But car still runs great, starts every time without problem in Boston winters and still gets compliments 8 years later.

I bought this car new, & have enjoyed very much. I would replace it w/another A4, but I now live in an area w/o a local Audi dealer. It makes driving fun. Exceptional control in snow. Parts are expensive. Its not as reliable as a Honda (had one once), but so much better to drive. Great audio, comfortable seats a driving experience.

First I want to get one thing out of the way, Its an Audi, some repairs are going to be expensive. If you want cheap, this is not the car for your. On a better note, This car is absolutely amazing to drive, I have the Sport and Cold weather packages as well and let me tell you, make sure yours has the sport package. This vehicle grips the road like a magnet! Winter driving with the Quattro system will not leave one disappointed, Truly is the ultimate snowmobile. Also do not be fooled by the performance specs... while not a sports car, the 1.8T engine has plenty of get up and go to make even a grown man giggle like a little kid.

  • Audi A4 1.8T does the job - 1999 Audi A4

The Audi A4 has been so much fun to drive even though I have only had it for a couple of months. The only thing that is wrong with it is that when it is idling it tends to vibrate a little too much for me. Also the fan for the AC sounds like a vaccum cleaner. Other than those two things, to me, it is a great car!

  • The fun of an A4 Quattro 2.8 - 1999 Audi A4

The quattro is excellent in all weather and the 2.8 engine is a must. Great looking car. Your friends will think it costs much more than it does. Interior space is a little limited in the rear. The cup holders are not the greatest and the climate controls should be placed more conveniently.
