The Audi A4 holds the distinction of having single-handedly revived the Audi brand. Launched in the mid-'90s, the compact A4 quickly became a favorite among luxury car buyers thanks to its beautifully finished cabin, sharp handling and available Quattro all-wheel drive. Although the A4 has offered these core characteristics from day one, it has become increasingly polished and high-tech with each successive generation. No matter which year you're looking at, the A4 promises both engaging performance and suave style inside and out.
The sedan body style has been a constant for the Audi A4, but depending on the vintage, you may also find wagon and convertible variants. Turbocharged four-cylinder power is typically found under the hood, yielding both reasonably spirited acceleration and satisfactory fuel economy. In road tests, we've consistently praised the A4's refined character, with more recent plaudits going to its spacious backseat, which has adequate room for full-size adults.

Great mid-size sport sedan - 2003 Audi A4
By utex - April 6 - 10:00 amThe Audi A4 is a blast to drive. Its amazing that a 4 cylinder can feel so much like a 6. This car has the power to get up and go. But, sometimes it does lag. The car is comfortable, with really nice features. The attention to detail Audi did with this car is nice. The car looks great...and is a real bargain for under 30K. The only bad things are that you dont have power seats or stereo controls on the steering wheel.

Excellent - 2001 Audi A4
By ebryant - April 5 - 2:00 amI love this car. In the 3 years I have had it there has been virtually no problems, it gets great gas mileage for a performance car, and its solid all around. I like it so much Im going to buy it off the lease cause I wont be able to get the quality of this vehicle for the price range I can get it vs. getting another car.

Excellent SUV Alternative - 2002 Audi A4
By Audi John - April 2 - 2:00 amMy wife and I bought this car a month ago, and we love it already. You rarely see A4 Avants, unlike the ubiquitous BMW/Volvo/VW wagons. Its also a superb value, especially Certified. I laugh at SUV drivers who paid a lot more for terrible handling, fuel economy, and in some cases, less room. It will not overwhelm you with power, but its got plenty of zip for a family car, and Quattro ensures excellent handling. Its not big, but its very comfortable. The interior lighting is great- at night, EVERY control lights up so you dont have to fumble in the dark. ItÂ’s a really intelligently designed car with great attention to detail. Very highly recommended!

fun in the winter - 1998 Audi A4
By Sharky poo - March 30 - 2:00 amThis vehicle is amazing! I used to drive a 1999 Acura Integra GS-R and the performance is very close between them. The 190hp is enough to push around the estimated 4,500lbs that the car weighs. The handling is also great due to the AWD. It has the high performance Brembo Break kit which makes stopping extremely easy. This car is like a tank. The body is solid and so is the drivetrain, and it will go anywhere

So far so good - 2001 Audi A4

The driving position is ideal (unlike other reviewers, I love the position of the armrest), and I find the car to be very comfortable for both short and long trips. Not to mention the fact that it is gorgeous! Truly one of the best looking cars on the road. Nothing but good things to say about the service dept so far (hopefully that will stay the same when the warranty runs out later this year)

I get so many stares with this car, handles awesome!! Looks are amazing and the interior is to die for. Makes other cars in the class look like economy cars.

Exceptional Vehicle (So Far) - 2003 Audi A4
By NateCunningham - March 30 - 2:00 amI recently purchased a red A4 with the sport package, BOSE stereo, heated seats, sunroof, platinum leather. So far I am very pleased with the purchase although I have realized my right rear tail light is out already and there are some squeaking noises inside the cabin around the doors and now in the plastic that covers the odometer. Those are minor things and can be fixed, overall the quality seems to be very nice.
