Model Overview:

The Audi A4 holds the distinction of having single-handedly revived the Audi brand. Launched in the mid-'90s, the compact A4 quickly became a favorite among luxury car buyers thanks to its beautifully finished cabin, sharp handling and available Quattro all-wheel drive. Although the A4 has offered these core characteristics from day one, it has become increasingly polished and high-tech with each successive generation. No matter which year you're looking at, the A4 promises both engaging performance and suave style inside and out.

The sedan body style has been a constant for the Audi A4, but depending on the vintage, you may also find wagon and convertible variants. Turbocharged four-cylinder power is typically found under the hood, yielding both reasonably spirited acceleration and satisfactory fuel economy. In road tests, we've consistently praised the A4's refined character, with more recent plaudits going to its spacious backseat, which has adequate room for full-size adults.

Ive had my 2002 a4 for 8 months and it rules. Sport package, sunroof, heated seats. I still cant believe the beauty of the interior. I traded in Buick Regal for a4. Comparing the two cars would be like comparing Babe Ruth and Bob Eucker.

Ive owned this car for about 9 months now and it has been a real pleasure to drive. The handling is superb and the power is adequate. The interior is exquisite and luxurious. Weve had no problems in 5500 miles except for a bad seat memory module. Gas mileage is improving as I am still in the break- in period. Overall, Ive had a fantastic experience with this car.

Firm suspension. Great 4 wheel compact luxury car.

Aside from having defective Spark Modules which required two separate service visits (one with only 63 miles on the car) and a failed Transmission Control Module, this car has been 100% reliable and an absolute joy to own and drive. I cant understand why there arent more of them on the road, its a great Anti-SUV! With my snow tires on in winter I run circles around any of them and get WAY better gas mileage, too. The car is also perfect for long trips, just eats up the miles in comfort and returns 25MPG at 75MPH! Again, no SUV can touch that.

Great looking exterior. Interior is fine, but 3 series is slightly more luxurious. Love interior lights. Feels like cockpit of a jet fighter. Handles great. Poor lowend torque. Leather feels cheap. Bose stereo isnt anything spectacular. Love spacious interior compared to 3series. Lots of leg room. Center console is a bit wide, knee keeps rubbing against the side and really hurts. Driver seat uncomfortable. Average Audi service. Dont always take care of the issue and loaner policy blows. I spend 30k and when its serviced, I have to drive around in a Ford Escort?!

We have had our Audi for less than a year and it is one problem after another. We the car arrived the convertible top was coming apart at the seams on the interior. It took a week to repair. Then the compartment in the trunk (used for storing the roof) broke and it took 2 trips to repair it. Last time it was in for service they found a "small" transmission fluid leak. Two months later, it is in again and now they have to replace the transmission! Worst made car weve ever purchased!!!!

the car drives well and handling is great but it does need a little more power for the turbo.

I have had this car for about 4 months now and really love the car. Not just the looks but performance. I felt the 150hp wasnt enough, and one mod(Chip $400) made me happy with 200hp and 243ft/tq. You wont be dissapointed when buy this car the AWD helps out nicely when driving in snow/rain or just everyday use. The cost of repairs is a little steep, but it lacks there it makes up in exceptional gas milage (for an AWD/Turboed car) of 23/32, and looks and perfornace

My car is cute and fun to drive. I love it...It just doesnt love me. After 50K it is beginning to fall apart. Faulty airbag, faulty steering column, disintegrated fuel pump (which led to bent valves and an engine replacement), whiny turbo, faulty o2 sensor, faulty master air flow sensor... In the past year, the vehicle has had ~$8K in repairs. Luckily I had an extended, but I still sacrifice my time and $50 every time the check engine light comes on.
