The Cabriolet is now available with all-wheel drive, while all A4s now come standard with a tire-pressure monitoring system, revised steering wheels and two-stage airbags. The 1.8T models have been upgraded with 16-inch aluminum wheels and now offer a six-speed manual transmission as an option.
- Classy, well-constructed interiors, sharp handling, precise steering, available CVT transmission and all-wheel drive.
- Price goes up quickly with options, engines short on low-end torque, sport package makes for a choppy ride.

By Saundra - August 9 - 8:23 pmThe A4 is not only great looking and fuel efficient, but it is FUN to drive. The 170 hp and almost 170 lb feet of torque pack more than enough power. I get compliments on my car quite frequently. I am a reformed BMW driver. I will never go back. Quattro (the AWD system) has given me newfound confidence when I drive.

By Dabney - August 8 - 2:00 amI have had my A4 for a month now. Nad have about 2k miles on it. I got it for 3 reasons. Gas mileage, 4wd, and i need a sedan for the family. I love this car, one of the most fun sedan s i have ever drove. Vehicals i looked at new TL, 330, and is300. This being the th slowest vehical of the 4 i normaly wouldnt have picked it. But i couldnt help myself. I just love this car. And the all wheel drive is great.

By jnick - August 8 - 2:00 amAll aspects - the tight engineering and design, the smart use of turbo in a 4 cyliner - add up to just a great purchase. One little complaint? The standard sound system is tinny at low decibels... of course easily cured by turning up the volume.

By jhopkins - June 20 - 2:00 amOnly problem experienced has been a reoccuring one, involving the face plate on the driver instrumentation panel becoming loose, and it causes quite a distracting/distrubing noise. Taken in for repair twice, but seems to last only a few weeks before problem resurfaces. Otherwise, the car has been a pleasure, first-time owner but sure to be a loyal owner in the future...quattro performs amazingly well in icy conditions.

Even better than I expected - 2004 Audi A4
By Dan - June 18 - 4:19 pmWe liked many things about the A4, but the seat comfort that sealed the deal. Had to order an unloaded model to keep cost under $30K. I worried about reliability issues, but with 18K miles the only issue has been an improperly installed headrest. We go 5 hours non stop & our 55 year old bodies have nary a complaint. Power is adequate at under 2,500 rpms, more than adequate over 2,500 - passes with ease. Biggest surprise is gas mileage (relatively conservative driving habits). 33-36 mpg on highway & 26-28 in urban driving. Great balance between ride & cornering, feels heavy & a bit mushy in a fast, tight turns, but great & no complaints for daily driving. CVT very smooth & slick.

By FunCar - May 4 - 10:00 amThis car has the best interior quality and features compared to any other in the same class. Car is extreamly smooth and has a ton of power. Shift into sport gear and you will experience G force. You feel accelleration even with a slight touch of the gas pedal. It becomes an extention of you.

A4 with sports package - 2004 Audi A4
By Scottt - April 20 - 11:21 amI have owned several cars including my most recent, a 2002 BMW 325i. Overall, I would rate this A4 as the best car I have owned. The exterior and especially the interior styling cannot be beat in this price range. I have the sports package with the interior aluminum trim and love it - very sporty and classy at the same time. Also, I love the lower profile, sleek look with the sports package. The ride suffers a bit with it as to be expected and there is not much noticeable improvement in handling IMHO, but still worth it for the look.
