Overview & Reviews
The Audi A4 holds the distinction of having single-handedly revived the Audi brand. Launched in the mid-'90s, the compact A4 quickly became a favorite among luxury car buyers thanks to its beautifully finished cabin, sharp handling and available Quattro all-wheel drive. Although the A4 has offered these core characteristics from day one, it has become increasingly polished and high-tech with each successive generation. No matter which year you're looking at, the A4 promises both engaging performance and suave style inside and out.
The sedan body style has been a constant for the Audi A4, but depending on the vintage, you may also find wagon and convertible variants. Turbocharged four-cylinder power is typically found under the hood, yielding both reasonably spirited acceleration and satisfactory fuel economy. In road tests, we've consistently praised the A4's refined character, with more recent plaudits going to its spacious backseat, which has adequate room for full-size adults.

My Audi - 2004 Audi A4
By Rochelle - September 26 - 10:00 amI love the Audi A4. I love the way it looks and its a great price for a luxury vehicle. Its fun to drive because of its sporty grip on the road but does lack horse power. The interior is designed beautifully but it has very little space in the back seat, yet a ironically large trunk. Being the back seat is so small it does not make a good small family vehicle. Other than that, I love the car.

By shariberri - September 26 - 10:00 amCrome around gear shift scratches too easily. High pitched whistle when excelling. When waxing the car the exterior seems is fragile.

WOW - 2005 Audi A4
By Audi Lover - September 24 - 3:56 pmFor anyone looking for affordable, fun, upper end car. The audi A4 is the car, I was shopping for german car with lots bells on it and the A4 was the car for me. I am a big Honda and I traded my Honda v6 for the A4, I felt that Audi is the higher end of a honda that will last you and run for ever and you pay for what you get. I could have gotten a bmw if I wanted to pay for all the standard options on that already came on the Audi. My next car will be the new A6.

Great Car - 2004 Audi A4
By Audi Lover - September 24 - 3:27 pmThis is the first car I have really enjoyed driving. It is responsive, amazing when the turbo kicks in, and I get positive comments from people on the street all the time which has never happened to me before. However, I have had to have the transmission replaced at 12000 miles, it just didnt go into gear one day and had to be towed. The dealer was great about replacing it but it did take 4 weeks until I got the car back.

Dont get burned!!! - 1999 Audi A4
By JCC - September 21 - 5:34 pmI recently sold my 1999 A4 AWD 2.8 65K miles. I owned it for exactly 1 year. After 1 year, the transmission needed to be replaced. The estimate was $5000- $7000. I said fix it good enough to drive across town to the Nissan dealer. In addition, it was due for its 60K mile service >$650. The service person made an excellent point in saying, "If you cant afford the routine maintenence, then you cant afford the vehicle. I got caught up in being a pretentious fool. You shouldnt. Buy something else!

Just Plain Fun - 2007 Audi A4
By Steve - September 20 - 3:26 amI have only logged 400 miles but I am sold on the A4. The car is a pleasure to drive and much sportier than expected. I shopped the 3 series as well and dollar for dollar the A4 just felt like the better package. It is hard to explain but just feels good to drive this car. It has multiple personalities based on the way you shift the automatic but all are enjoyable. I like to use the manual mode to get to speed quickly and then shift to D. The car really rewards you when you hit the back roads it feels stuck to the road but rides very comfortably. As far as the interior goes it is nearly perfect from an ergonomic stand point and I love the bluetooth with my Blackberry 8700.
