Model Overview:

The Audi A4 holds the distinction of having single-handedly revived the Audi brand. Launched in the mid-'90s, the compact A4 quickly became a favorite among luxury car buyers thanks to its beautifully finished cabin, sharp handling and available Quattro all-wheel drive. Although the A4 has offered these core characteristics from day one, it has become increasingly polished and high-tech with each successive generation. No matter which year you're looking at, the A4 promises both engaging performance and suave style inside and out.

The sedan body style has been a constant for the Audi A4, but depending on the vintage, you may also find wagon and convertible variants. Turbocharged four-cylinder power is typically found under the hood, yielding both reasonably spirited acceleration and satisfactory fuel economy. In road tests, we've consistently praised the A4's refined character, with more recent plaudits going to its spacious backseat, which has adequate room for full-size adults.

Could not justify buying this car new but found a certified pre-owned with low miles and in great condition $20K under the sticker price of a 2018. Overall great

I am a college student and this car is perfect. It gets amazing gas mileage, it is quick yet has some give between pushing the pedal and actually being slammed into your seats. The car handles turns amazingly, but then again my audi has quattro on it. I could not be happier with my car and I am 100% positive that my next car with be an Audi.

  • Disappointing - 2003 Audi A4

After great initial enthusiasm for this car I have become very disillusioned. I have had ignition coils replaced twice (once stranding me 400 miles from home), more flat tires than ever in my life, squeeks and rattles, seatbelts that get wet when it rains, on and on. I love this car, but I cant afford to keep it now that the warranty has expired. Its cost me $2000 in the last two months in repairs. Its great to drive, but too unpredictable to enjoy all of its wonderful features.

  • 1st Ultra Sport in the country - 2004 Audi A4

I got my car on the 1st of nov. and have been loving it ever since! the ultra sport option is great! the wheels, interior, bodywork, all totally worth it! my previous car was a 1.8T jetta, and I dont miss the extra 10hp, as the quattro is well worth it. the handling is better than all the others that I drove 325/330, c230K, G35,and9/3 saab. plus it has the best interior design, and the quality far superior to the rest! BMWhat? I wont ever buy anything else.

  • Audis are the best ! - 1996 Audi A4

I had my A4 for 5 years, got 100k miles on it. And still runs smooth. You will never have engine problems if you maintain the car well. After switching to an Audi, I couldnt drive Japanese anymore. This car is just a mixture of sport and luxury if you will. Especially the 5 speed manual Quattro. You feel that the car sticks to the ground in sharp turns and the engine is ready to run for another 100k miles (as long as you take care of it). I love the interior design, especially the wood trim. There is little space in the back seats, but the driving comfort is perfect. I also love the smoothness of the manual transmission. I like the shape of this car better than the new 05 model.

  • Best Company Car Yet - 2006 Audi A4

Just got the 06 A4 2.0 T and I am very impressed. The engine is smooth and responsive and with the 6 speed auto it is the perfect blend of fun and comfort. I am in North Dakota and we just got our first snow and it handles the snow very well with the all season tires, but the throttle takes some getting used to as it really picks up speed after about 2K RPM and it can cause the wheels to spin, but it effortlessly overtakes other vehicles on the snowy roads without any discomfort. The fit and finish is excellent and the stereo is great. Only complaint so far is the speaker grill in the driver door. The door closed on my leg and it broke the grill. Seems pretty weak.

  • Love my 3.0 cab - 2004 Audi A4

Living in the northeast, I was hesitant to spend this much $ on a convertible, but have to say I love it. The performance, handling and comfort of the car is amazing. Cant imagine giving up any of the features. The 3.0 is a little sluggish off the line, but makes up for it quickly with a lot of power. Its so much fun to drive, looks great and is really comfortable.

  • Alaskan Audi !!!! - 2003 Audi A4

I love this car. I was considering the BMW 3-series, but the Audi was less expensive with basically the same features, except the BMW I was looking at did not have AWD. It handles great in the snow and ice. It also handles well with five passengers in the car and I was running the car at 120mph! The only problem I had with the car is that it did not have power seats. I expect that feature should be on a $30,000 car. It comes as an option but a delayed introduction and only on the driver seat. Audi should have also painted the lower panels of the car like the A6. I think its very ugly. Now Im forced to buy a bodykit for the car to make it look better.

  • 1 sweet car - 2002 Audi A4

Sweet car, but taillights keep going out. Love the power memory seats, only car in its class I know of that has rear heated seats, love the looks, turns a lotta heads. I think audi is a great German brand, its a real nice car (I have the auto).

  • Great car but purchase with caution - 2003 Audi A4
    By -

After owning my A4 for 2 yrs now, I am satisfied but at the same time disappointed. Ive had my fuel pump burn out at 29000 miles and at about 38000 miles, the water pump slowly leaked into the timing belt and its components. This made the timing chain snap and one of the pistons slapped 2 of the valves... bottom line, my car was at the dealer for 2 weeks. Had it not been under warranty, $5000 in damages.
