Overview & Reviews
Acura adds XM Satellite Radio, heated door mirrors and a four-way power passenger seat to the standard features list. The steering wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls are now illuminated.
- An engine that loves to rev and sounds good doing it, sharp handling, slick six-speed manual transmission, upscale interior look and feel, long list of standard equipment, top-of-the-line navigation system for those who want it.
- Forgettable styling, not much power until the engine gets revved up.

Best Little Acura Yet - 2005 Acura TSX
By HuskerFan27 - October 12 - 3:03 amOwned 2004 and had to replace it with a 2005. All the little gripes that most forum users had are addressed with the 2005 model. The car is top notch for the price point. Not that 29K isnt a lot of money, but compared to quality and features, you cant beat it.

Sweet Car - 2005 Acura TSX
By sylvester vanchiro - October 4 - 8:13 pmI looked at 3 other cars in this class, and after it was all said and done, I knew this was the car I wanted. Two years later I still am one happy driver. This car has and does everything I need in a car and the reliability has just been great. Cant really say enough about this car, just happy I made the right decision.

2004 TSX - 2005 Acura TSX
By Ronnie K. - August 30 - 6:50 amFun to drive. Comfortable. Strong 4cyl engine, however I got used to its power fast. Needs the 3.2l V6 from the TL. Awesome interior. 6 speed manual a must. Audio system is ok. The rear 6x9s and the door woofers are weak. The 6x9s are easily replaceable however. High pitch sound is poor. Controls are good except the moonroof controls. Lots of trunk space. I love the car.

Few details short of perfection - 2005 Acura TSX
By knoef - August 23 - 12:19 amThe car is fun to drive, very easy to live with and a great value. Having said that, I could point out a couple of things that annoy me a bit. Only the driver side window is auto down and have to hold the sunroof switch as well. The headrests can be a bit higher (I am 62). Otherwise the car is perfect. Light on center steering, a lot of grip and very predicable at the limit. By the way, I know my complaints are very minor thats what separates this car from being perfect. Of course, it doesnt have the ergonomics or style of A4 but it doesnt fall apart. It doesnt have performance of RWD BMW 3 but you can buy two tsx for the price of one 335.

You need to get the 6-Speed Manual - 2005 Acura TSX
By Michael - August 5 - 12:30 amI compared with cars that considerabley more HP and/or Torque: Mazda 6 V6, Legacy GT Turbo, and Maxima. I do not have V6 remorse what so ever. This is a true enthusiasts car; it is not always about 0 - 60... The exterior is a little bland; however, the interior has great functionality and design. Both the physical engine response and sound are perfection. I am getting low gas mileage so far (on the low EPA rated, city side), while I am actually doing a mixture of city/highway Maybe due to low miles, here is hoping?

05 TSX - 2005 Acura TSX
By Tgr - July 29 - 9:32 amAcuras reputation for quality and reliability as well as inclusive standard features are what persuaded me to purchase the car. I have 21k miles on my TSX and my only complaint has to do with the occasional squeak or rattle I hear on the open road. For instance, the moon roof visor occasionally rattles in the open position and the glove compartment squeaks more often than not. However, overall Ive been impressed and I will sure keep this car for a while.

Great Car - So much Fun - 2005 Acura TSX
By Jerry - July 20 - 6:33 amThis is a great car. It is fun to drive, especially if you are an aggressive driver. I think that it could use a little more horsepower. If they bumped it up to about 230hp I think that it would be a little better. But other than that it is great. I actually added an air intake to it which increased the hp, torque and gas mileage. Plus it adds a little more growl to the engine at higher RPMs.

For smooth roads only - 2005 Acura TSX
By Robert Needham - July 18 - 7:33 amI bought the car because I love manual transmissions - its best feature. But the car is uncomfortable for short light weight people, cant raise the seat high enough to see the road well. My wife sits on a pillow. Seats are low, slippery and thin. No protective side moulding on doors, no trip computer, no compass, no automatic door locks. I drove it down 130 miles of washboard dirt road, where it fishtailed badly, paint chipped out, and the car developed rattles in dash and driver door. A good car for big heavy people who drive smooth pavement only. Two factory recalls.

Great car - 2005 Acura TSX
By Jonathan - July 3 - 10:56 pmBought used with 13000 on it. Have put 15000 on it in a year. Absolutely no problems. The handling is great. The automatic transmission is super smooth. By far, the best car you can get for the money. Great resale value and great driving experience.
