Good Choice - 2005 Acura TL
By good choice - September 23 - 2:53 amI have had the TL for 10 months now with 7500 miles on it. I have not had to bring it to the dealer for any defects at all.The built quality is ok, but not at the Lexus or Bmw standard. Suspension is stiff, and the seats are not as comfortable as they should be. Audio system is excellent.Unfortunately blind spots are a problem , and the sideview mirrors are too small. It takes a while to get use to driving the car because of this. Acceleration and power are excellent. I have been averaging 22 combined mpg. Overall the TL is an excellent choice and very reliable.

Rattling Sound - 2005 Acura TL
By Got A Lemon - April 29 - 4:16 pmBought a new 2005 TL. Love the power, sound, responsiveness. Only 1800 miles, and dealership cannot fix rattling sound. Now dealing with Acuras Customer Representative, dead-end there. Tells me its a known problem with this model. I got a lemon.

Honesty - 2005 Acura TL
By Smiles - December 19 - 1:53 pmGreat car, lots of style. Rattles a little especially when cold. Handling is good but not on par with the Audi A4. Strong acceleration, some lag between first and second gear with the automatic when pushing the car. Love the technology and the amenities, nothing comparable in the same price range with all the bells and whistles. However nothing handles and drives like the German cars, but cash is always the deal breaker. Nice job ACURA!

TL Review - 2005 Acura TL
By JR - April 16 - 8:06 pmThis is a beautiful car both inside and outside. It has excellent acceleration. It is very smooth and quiet at high speeds. However, the car does not feel stable in hard cornering. The workmanship on the headliner is very poor. Mine started to come apart after only 1500 miles. Was originally attached with double side sticky tape until the dealer installed screws to keep it from falling. Car wonders from left to right even on fairly level pavement. Dealer blames the problem on el42 tires. They changed to another set of el42 but the problem continued. The clutch took a little getting used to, initially. The top of the dash began to fade real bad. Originally, I thought it was dust but it isnt

Upgrade from older TL worth it - 2005 Acura TL
By Terry - March 9 - 5:03 pmAlthough the styling and ride took a while to brag about, owning the car for more than a month has definitely brought me around. The car is quick, quiet, handles like a go-cart, and has enough electronic goodies to please the biggest geeks. If you own a pre-2004 and are considering the 2005, you wont be disappointed.
