  • The Acura TL - why pay more for luxury - 2005 Acura TL
    By -

The Acura TL is the best-equipped car in its class. Why spend thousands more for a car like the Audi a4 and a6 or BMW or even a Mercedes that doesn’t even have half the options the Acura has standard bi-xenon head lamps and blue tooth to name a few. The car on the track pulled a 5.3 secs to 60 and 14 flat in the quarter. The car has some serious handling especially with the a-spec package. If you are thinking about owning a high priced luxury sport sedan such as and Audi, BMW or Mercedes there is only one obvious choice. The Acura TL day in and day out all day long.

Didnt expect to buy a TL. With integrated bluetooth phone, great acceleration and superb handling at close to 30K, just could not turn it down

  • Transmission problem - 2005 Acura TL
    By -

Transmission shifts into 3rd and 5th gears at low driving speeds resulting in a grinding noise; the two head lights are not designed to evenly spread light on the road ( one is higher than the other ; the doors are so flimsy that the door speaker is rattling; the tires wore out in 25000 miles; navigation does not show the shortest routes

  • Beats my BMW 3 series hands down - 2005 Acura TL

You get a LOT of car for your money. I used to own a 2000 BMW 3 series. The difference between the 2 cars is night & day. The BMW had better handling, no doubt, but thats it. It pales in comparison in every other respect. The TL is beutifully executed - the navi, stereo and bluetooth are seamlessly integrated with the voice control system. It really is a flawless experience. One note. I use a Treo 650 bluetooth phone. The phone needs to be updated from Palms website for the bluetooth to work correctly with the car. Its a phone problem, nothing to do with the car. Once updated, however, it works beautifully.

  • I LOVE IT!!! - 2005 Acura TL

This is the best car Ive driven in a while! The interior has so many different textures; for instance, the textured trims, woodgrain finishes, the FINE leather with the rich colors. The Acura TL handles well on city streets and highway. I made a very wise choice with this car. I just wanted a car for work, but I never drive my SUV anymore!

  • Unbelievable Car for the Money - 2005 Acura TL
    By -

Me and my wife chose the TL over the BMW 325 and the MB C230 Kompressor. For the money you get everything both the BMW and MB have for about $3000 less. The TLs acceleration and handling is phenomenal not to mention the navigation which is so easy to use. I will never own another car without NAV again. My only complaint is the subwoofer vibrates with songs that have high base amounts. The dealer said its a known problem amongst all TLs and there has been nothing that has come out from corporate yet to fix it. All highway got 31 mpg, combined highway and city average 25. Those figures go down rapidly if your foot is in the gas a lot. This car is worth every penny we spent on it.

  • Quality and Image - 2005 Acura TL

Having my vehicle for only two months this car makes me feel safe knowing all the safety features, but it is also sporty. This VTech engine gives this vehicle a lot of horsepower, while maintaining luxury and comfort that a car should include. I love my TL, and searched around for a year before making my final decision on this purchase. I couldnt have made a better one.

  • Love my TL Nicer than my old Lexus - 2005 Acura TL

If shopping for a car around 35k you should consider this TL. I have looked at everything and this car has the nicest interior I have ever seen on a car (especially at night) I liked my old ES300, but the all Lexuss now look like old man cars. Interiors are too light and most are 2 tone. I researched cars since 2003 and bought a TL.

  • Another Acura - 2005 Acura TL

I have owned the Acura product since the Legend in 1986. Each one has continued their tradition of excellence. My last Acura was an RL. This is my first TL. I drove the G35, 530, and GS300 prior to the purchase just to be sure. Once again in terms of performance, ergonomics, and styling the TL won hands down. The fun to drive quotient is a definite 10. I have owned it for a week now and I am more impressed each day.

  • Never Again - 2005 Acura TL

If you buy on looks go ahead--if you buy for a nice comfortable ride--keep looking. I bought my TL about a year ago and have approx. 18K miles on the car and am planning to dump it. I liked the car the first couple of months, but realized it was nothing compared to my previous Infiniti I30 and I never really loved this car. Although the handling is nice and taut, the comfort of the "luxury" ride does not even come close to the I30 or other cars in this class. The TL has terrible blind spots and the ride is very uncomfortable. You feel every bump in town & interstate. The transmission and shifting is very jerky, not at all smooth. Also very noisy and no auto headlights--very disappointing
