  • Rattling Sound - 2005 Acura TL

Bought a new 2005 TL. Love the power, sound, responsiveness. Only 1800 miles, and dealership cannot fix rattling sound. Now dealing with Acuras Customer Representative, dead-end there. Tells me its a known problem with this model. I got a lemon.

  • Hot ! Hot ! Hot ! - 2005 Acura TL

Just purchaed my new TL, after 6 years with my old TL and 105K miles. The new car smokes the old TL. Much sportier, with 17" wheels. The steering wheel is more responsive and the ride firmer. The only negative compared to the old TL is the ride is lower to the ground and not as soft especially in the front passenger seat.It would be nice to have all the same seat controls on this side as the driver side to raise the seat up. The Nav system with voice activation is great well as the bluetooth phone capability. Car comes with almost everything you would want as a base car. Cant beat the price and Value !

  • My Best Acura - 2005 Acura TL

This is my fourth Acura. Prior to my 2004 TL experience the best car Id owned was my 93 Legend. I then drove two RLs which were well built but under powered! This TL has it all! It is comparable in quality and performance to high-end German sports sedans, and frankly exceeds some of them which cost upwards of $15K more. It is tightly built, extra responsive, and has terrific eye appeal. Acura has always rewarded owners with a lot of car for the money, however, this TL with its big basket of technology is far and away the winner in this catagory. And the 2005 RL appears to be taking us to an even higher level.

  • So Far, Mostly Good - 2005 Acura TL

My wife did the research on several cars in this class and decided this was the one. I had not even considered an Acura, and assumed she would select a BMW 325. The navigation system was a must have, and I admit it has been well worth the money. We traveled out of state weekend after we bought the car, typed in the location, and although it told us "we were no longer on a digitized road" (or something like that) directed us to our location. Performance is excellent. We have had trouble twice with electrical problems. The outside air temperature indication fails, followed buy "quirky" electrical issues. The dealer has resolved the issues. Look at an Acura, she already wants the SUV.

  • Too many rattles inside & floaty ride - 2005 Acura TL
    By -

I was excited to get this car, but after 3 months of owning this car, I found the ride handling is floaty when hitting bumps or when changing lanes. Car tends to sway side to side. There is too much wind noise, rattles on the driver side door, rattles also coming from the glove box, and rattles from the rear speaker area. I use to own a 1997 Acura CL and I never had any rattling noises from that car. This new generation TL needs lots of improvement. Seats are also uncomfortable for long trips.

  • 05 TL - Best in Class - 2005 Acura TL

Had the 02 TL-Type S and loved it. This model is an improvement in every way from looks to performance to features. Quick acceleration with firm but comfortable ride. Surround sound is great but limited selection for DVD-As and theyre more $$ than CDs. Acuras reliability is among the best and Im looking forward to years of pure driving pleasure.

  • Best of the Tested - 2005 Acura TL
    By -

My wife and I were making the jump from and SUV (Benz ML 320) to a sedan and tested all the new Brands: Cad CTS and STS, Buick LaCrosse, Ford 500, Lexus 330, and more. Our first experience ever with Acura was really eye opening; We drove the new RL and TL and immediately knew our choice was going to be Acura. The interior fit and finish was only comparable to the Lexus 430, at far less money--All others were not even close. Body styles are sharpae and finishe beautifully; Performance and handling are great and every option you would want in included at very competitive prices. Went with the TL as the best value on the market. Great new dealership.

  • Buy one - 2005 Acura TL

Well Ive owned my new TL now for around two months now. Ive had the chance to take it for a long journey and some regular commutes. I am still happy each time I get into it. The car is truely excellent and I honestly cant think of another vehicle in this price range that would have been a better choice. The controls are great, the xeon headlight are wonderful at night, the stereo is amazing, the performance is fantastic as is the handling. The only negatives are the poor gas mileage around town and the seats are a little firm on a very long journey (over four hours). I was pleased to note that I managed 33mpg on a recent long business trip. I still highly recommend this car.

  • Excellent Entry Luxury Car - 2005 Acura TL

As my first automobile purchase, and a longtime Acura fan, I absolutely fell in love with this car. The interior features are extremely sexy with the all leather trim and the blue effect lights, I get fairly decent mileage from this car, and the exterior looks very sleek. I still gawk at every TL I see on the street.
