Horrible Paint Quailty - 2005 Acura TL
By Unhappy - December 25 - 6:33 amI drove a Blk 93 5spd Vigor GS 4 8 yrs 225k mls, That car was an absolute DREAM. I then got a Blk 97 TL 2.5 auto (was OK, but no Vigor),I was extremely board with the Auto, so I test drove the 05 TL 5speed n fell in love (So expensive though)But I got it anyway. I have 3700 miles on the 05 TL, the majority are highway. I have no rattle trouble or any other issues 2 complain about OTHER than the paint job. I have so many chips on the front of the car for such a short period of time (Hood and Bumper)already Its disgusting. Im lost at this point and I think Im going 2 bite the bullet and take loss(4 to 5k)on the vehicle before it gets any worse for me. THE paint JOB is simply horrible.

Fantastic car - 2005 Acura TL
By DRM - December 17 - 2:36 amTook delivery of my 05 a week ago as part of a promotion package, replacing my much loved 03. I cannot fault it, the stereo is superb, the power awesome and the quality of materials is much uprated. My one word of warning is that Acura are clearly gunning for the BMW market. The ride is firm and the power leads to a very engaging and involving ride (it really reminds me of a series 3 I drove a few years ago). My 03 was a smooth elegant (Lexus like) ride. The 05 is more of a bad boy, aggressive, fast, fine competition for teutonic offerings but at an exceptional value price. If you want this, the car is for you. If you want a softer, entry level luxury comfort ride, maybe not. Your choice.

Great car, best in class - 2005 Acura TL
By Chris - December 4 - 7:43 amThere is a reason why this car is a top pick by Consumer Reports. For the money you are not going to do much better. The vast array of incredible standard features is just amazing, its an awesome car to drive and seems to do everything you could expect for a car of this price. Sure the new 3 series handles better, but youd have to spend $40K+ to equal the features of this car, and unless you live on a race track it isnt going to make any difference. This is a fast, luxury car that does everything you expect and more. I love mine and if I had to do it all over again would make the same pick.

Fantastic Car for the Price! - 2005 Acura TL
By Rachel - November 23 - 6:16 amI cannot talk highly enough about this car! It has every feature that I could possibly think of, yet thousands less than BMW or Mercedes whos reliability stinks anyway.

Stay Away! - 2005 Acura TL
By John Baker - October 16 - 4:33 pmAcura should be called "DAEWOO" as this car has performed so badly Acura is buying the lemon back! Electrical system was just the start....you would have better luck with HYUNDAI...at least they still know how to build reliable cars...maybe throwaways...but they got reliability down now!

satisfied customer - 2005 Acura TL
By chuck carter - October 7 - 12:46 pmI researched this vechile more than any I have bought and found it the most highly rated in its class. After 3000 miles, I concur with what I have read. The navigation system is easily learned, I am 64 years old with moderate computer skills and I use it regularly as I travel to find not only my destination, but banks, resturantes, etc. I average above 30 mpg on the road and above 25 in town. I am a large guy and find the seats comfortable at 240 lbs.

My dream car - 2005 Acura TL
By Steve - October 6 - 10:46 pmI wanted to buy this car four years ago and passed on it. Im glad I waited until the re-design. This is an outstanding car in every sense of the word. Not only that it is a real eye catcher when you are driving around town. It gets good gas mileage on the road but really takes off when you get on it. It is the perfect blend of sport and luxury as far as Im concerned. One of the best features is the surround sound stereo system. It is even better than my bose home system. Buy this car, you wont regret it.
