The exterior paint job on this car is HORRIBLE. You will have to repair paint chips as soon as you exit the dealer. For 30k + you have got to be kidding me. I really LOVE most eberything else My biggest gripe at this point is the poor paint job that results in scratches from the simple everyday driving, but then I only have 4000 miles on it. So I guess it will get worse with the noises and stuff, like everyone else. I will trade this in for a nissan as soon as I pay off the note. What is the most imortant aspect of a vehicle (how it LOOKS) thats one of the biggest reasons we choose the car we choose.

Had the car for 9 months now and Ive put 17K miles on it... now thats love. Fun to drive, comfy, and can never go without navigation again. Only design flaws are if you dont get the window visors (rain guards, whatever you call them) you cant even crack your windows when its raining because the water pours into your car and right into your power window switches. Also, heard a lot of complaints about noise in the dash while driving. I just invested some money to add additional speakers so I dont hear anything. I guess anyone who drives around with no radio will hear some kind of noise... so turn up your radio and enjoy the ride!!!!

The Navigation system is the best that I have ever seen or used. The XM Satellite radio is a pleasant feature, particularily if you drive long distances or have a long commute. Visibility when backing is a bit restricted, which is the only short coming, if any. Sport car acceleration, steering and handling. Every appointment except headlight washers and exterior turn indicators on the side mirrors. Side moldings are extra, but well worth it. I really enjoy driving this automobile. Replaced an Infiniti Q45, so although downsized, did not surrender much. I highly recommend it. A lot of car for the money when compared to comps in BMW, Volvo, Infiniti etc.

  • STILL HAPPY WITH IT - 2005 Acura TL

after 33,000 Im still satisfied with the car. The problem area was memory seat and moisture inside the headlights. But after being replace no more problem. I would have love to have a FX35 but it was out of my range maybe next time when my least is up. For the money this is a great car. If you shop around you can buy this car close to invoice $30,300 or less so do your homework. Compare that to a C class or a 3 series and G35 and the TL is a great value and a great resale when your ready to sell it.

I have it for two weeks. Except some tire defect which was fixed by the dealer, it has been great. The MPG really sucks though. Im averaging 22. The technology is really great. I got an audio DVD and the sound isnt as great as one would think. The styling, interior and ride quality are very good. This is my first acura, and it has a lot of good features for the price. A great buy!

  • Best combo of perf + luxury + value - 2005 Acura TL

Consumer Reports had this one right (rated "top pick"). Far far better value than BMW and Acuras rep for quality and reliability is BETTER than BMW and much more so than Audi. The only low: weak torque in 1st gear. Outside of that, EVERYTHING else is FABULOUS. Supple ride, nimble, powerful, responsive. Virtually perfect fit and trim, roomier back seat than Audi A4 or BMW 325/330. DVD audio (stereo) beats any 2-channel CD system. Once you experience the Navi system, youll never go backwards to non-Navi. Youll NEVER get lost! Three of my friends with BMWs were, RU ready: Jealous! They paid more, and they got LESS. A TEST DRIVE will convince you very clearly.

  • Just the best... - 2005 Acura TL

Excellent car, the best Ive ever driven. No matter what other reviews may say, I did not notice any substantial difference in handling compare with BMW 3 series. The only small problem Ive noticed was sometimes not very smooth upshift of the auto transmission when the car moves from complete stop.

  • Better than... - 2005 Acura TL

We bought the TL as a family car, but it generally logs only 5miles/day. Currently at 2400 miles after 4 months. Recently took it to New England (from NJ) and loved it. FWD, yes, but unless you make sharp, accelerating turns youre OK. Plenty of rear leg room for teens and normal adults, and firm, comfortable seats made the 235 trip easy for everyone. 80mph is a quiet and safe as 60, and while you could feel the bumps of the Cross Bronx Expy, the car steered straight and there were no surprizes.

Great get up and go. Drives smooth with good acceleration. This car appeals to both men and women. Definite buy for the price.
