This vehicle had been through thick and thin with me. I have had it through the worst conditions. It was in a snow storm and handled lovely. It has been in a flash flood and it remained with little to no damage done. This car is excellent! I definately recommend the yokohama tires though. The firestone crap tires they put on the car when purchased did not even last 10000 miles. The yokos are definately made for this car! I have a friend who purchased a BMW 6 series for 82k dollars. He got in my car and said "you have the same features I have in my car!" I said "yeah I know but I paid thirty five for mine tho!". Acura out did themselves.

  • Traded 2005 TL in on a 2005 G35 - 2005 Acura TL

Three weeks ago I bought a new 2005 Acura TL. It was beautiful inside and out but it drove badly. Torque steer, Brakes pulled, vibration in pedal and steering wheel at speed. I just traded it in on a 2005 G35. I love the G35. It drives properly. (keep in mind I have been driving a Mecedes E Class for the last ten years so my idea of properly is RWD) I find that the G35 drives a lot like my My Mercedes but it has a lot more power and is more noisy. anyway, I love the G35 so far.

I bought this after being very satisfied with my 2000 Acura TL for 5 years. This is my 5th Acura overall but what a step up over the old design which I thought was pretty darn good! This car is the most complete package I have seen for the money. Power, luxury, handling, and great looks all for thousands less then the BMWs, Lexus, and Mercedes I looked at with similar features. You cant go wrong. Acura has finally built the perfect car (NSX excluded) and put a head turning body on it for a change! Only minus is the need for premium fuel and less than stellar fuel economy in the city but who cares when your listening to your XM satellite radio or DVD audio player. Right?

  • Best car I have ever owned - 2005 Acura TL

After doing close to a years worth of research and test drives I finally settled on the Acura TL. I could not be happier with my decision. The interior of the car is as close to perfect as you can come as far as styling. The exterior is sharp looking and aggressive. 270 hp performance combined with 21/29 mpg gas mileage is amazing. The seats are very comfortable, even for a big guy like myself (62", 250 lbs) - no headroom issues even with the sunroof. The navigation system is out of this world. I still cant get over SAYING something like "Go Home" and the car will plot a map for me, or "Find Nearest Chinese Restaurant" and the route is just plotted, along with a phone number for the place.

I love the acura TL. Interior, quality are excellent. The only worry i have is when starting cold, it idles roughly. When warm it idles nice. Dont like to put premium fuel in it either. Get the navigation, its worth the extra. Buy the Type S if you can afford it.

  • nice for a Japanese car! - 2005 Acura TL

The TL is nice, needs rain sensing wipers and auto headlights. Very fun to drive, quiet and smooth, good gas mileage, wonderful 6 speed manual transmission, comfortable, neeeds work on the trip computer display and the radio display, why not make them so you can see more than one thing at once? You can only get the radio to display one thing at once? Why not always have the channel number up there when in XM, along with at least one of he other things like the station name, song title, artist, etc. The engine transmission is best, loads of power, good handling, space inside the car is very good!

  • Great solid affordable luxury vehicle - 2005 Acura TL

I was going to purchase a C230 Mercedes Sport Sedan and chose the Acura TL instead. Having owned numerous Acuras since 1990 as well as a Mercedes since 2002, I really enjoyed the rear wheel drive of Mercedes. Once I test drove a 2005 TL, the ride and handling of the TL closely matched if not exceeded that of the C230 Sport Sedan Plus, the smooth power of the Acura V6 is quite impressive. Once I priced a MB with all the features standard on the TL, the MB was going to cost right at $40K. Plus, Acura reliability and resale value has been consistent for years. The TL is a fine automobile that has sufficient power and economy to satisfy almost all types of drivers for everyday driving.

  • TL is the way to go! - 2005 Acura TL

I have only had my TL a week and I am impressed and happy with my choice. I considered a Lexus GS 330, Infiniti G35 and the TL blows it away. The car comes with a ton of standard features for the price and has a kicking sound system with XM satellite radio. The seats are comfortable and the ride is smooth. The only 2 drawbacks are the CD player is a little difficult to manage and there is no fold down rear seat.. Its a car that you will be happy with for years.
