This car is SILLY! - 2005 Acura TL
By lindo - April 21 - 1:57 pmI fell in love with this car the first time I saw it and ad to get one. I went with the 6spd/man just for the fun of driving it. The clutch and shifter are awsome! Its a short-throw shifter and the clutch is very forgiving. The only problems Ive noticed are teh performance tires, Ive already had to replace one because the radial came lose...and Acura refused to pay for it!!! and the other thing I noticed is when you honk on it...it tend to lose traction pretty easily on the front end. Other than that...its a sweet ride and my favorite car Ive ever owned...which includes a mustang cobra convertable...I would definatley buy again!

Better than my old BMW - 2005 Acura TL
By Thowgo - April 12 - 12:20 amI looked at purchasing a new BMW, but found the Acrua TL to be better for my dollar, especially with all the service extras, such as an 8-year/120k mile warranty and free oil changes for life. Cant beat it.

Acura should be ashamed... - 2005 Acura TL
By Mike - April 6 - 7:38 pmOwner of 1 Honda & 1 Acura, used to love their products, but now, not so much. Heres a list of the problems I had with a Brand New 2005 Acura TL, the car has 9000 miles right now: -Replaced Heat Shield, Intermediate Shaft,Audio Unit, Rear Deck -Seized Calipers, Warped Rotors -Transmission Problems since the car had 1000 miles on it, had to have that replaced. -Rattles all over the place inside the car, really annoying to have to listen to while driving. -Acura Customer Service Is Pretty PATHETIC!! They dont help at all. OVERALL: BEST LOOKING CAR ON THE ROAD RIDE QUALITY OK BUILD QUALITY HORRIBLE TRANSMISSIONS STILL HAVE PROBLEMS TOO MANY RATTLES CUSTOMER SERVICE HORRIBLE

Worth a Look - 2005 Acura TL

Fun to drive, only needed one service thus far, and still getting compliments from people in parking lots, drive-thrus, and at the valet. It was the perfect present to myself after graduating from college.

A great car so far - 2005 Acura TL
By wps1964 - April 4 - 2:10 pmI am thoroughly enjoying the car so far. I agree with other reviews that the Navi sometimes is way off on the commands. But the process of buying the car was painless. This car is loaded with many features and has a great engine. The only real problem I am having is finding the right Bluetooth phone provider. Verizons phone doesnt sink up and this list on the Acura web-site is pretty small. I look forward to the safety and convenience that this feature will offer.

My Nicest Car - 2005 Acura TL
By TL - April 1 - 3:51 pmI bought my TL in April 2005 and have been very happy with it. I was initially attracted by the exterior looks, really liking the car the very first time I saw it and still feeling the same way now. The car handles very well and has plenty of power. I have two reservations about the car. It doesnt handle bumps particularly well because of the sport handling. If I had to change anything, Id have a slight more cushioned ride with a different suspension or more forgiving tires. The other slight disappointment is the gas mileage is not as good as I had gotten in my previous car..a Saab 9- 5. Nonetheless, I am very happy with the car and would purchase it again.

Almost 1 year with my TL - 2005 Acura TL
By Ajax Crow - March 31 - 11:54 pmGreat car. Nav system and associated functions a great joy to have. Sound is AWESOME, especially with DVD audio discs. Only complaint is it could be more nimble in handling,but thats the price you pay for extra space. Interior fit and finish among the best anywhere, even in much more expensive vehicles. There isnt a better value on the market. Could be more sporty in handling, but thats the price for the extra space gained. Very roomy. A joy on road trips. Very intuitive controls. Stopped using voice activiation. Its much faster and more conveniant to just press the button instead of waiting for the system to process the command. Almost impossible to beat!

Love it - 2005 Acura TL
By Wags - March 30 - 5:33 pmI bought my TL 6 months ago and love it. It is fun to drive. Quick off the starting line. Handles curves like a true sports car. Gas mileage is good especially on highway. 30 MPG. Stereo system is awesome. Plenty of clearity and base. Not sure how it will be in snow. GPS system is worth the money. Easy to operate and works very well. I highly recommend the vehicle. I have black metalic and it is very diffucult to keep clean. Would have gotten the white if I had it over again.

Unbelievable Value - 2005 Acura TL
By James - March 21 - 9:23 amI spent considerable time researching various models including the A4, Infiniti G35, Volvo S60, and of course the TL. The majority of the competitors simply couldnt match the options and the drive of the TL. Its interior is more comfortable than most furniture and its a stunning vehicle to look at on the outside. In order for the A4 and the G35 to match the options another 5-10 thousand dollars is required and still neither holds the quality name recognition of Honda. The manual transmission is blast to drive, so much so its difficult not to blow by traffic when the chance presents itself.

05 TL a pleasure - 2005 Acura TL
By chas - March 19 - 6:45 pmThis car can make any commute a pleasure. I drive 35 miles one way, I look forward to my ride since I bought this car. Smooth ride, tight handling, quiet, fast, blue tooth phone and audio are great. Avg gas mileage 25 mpg mostly highway. I wish I had the navigation it adds more versitility to the voice command. My only complaint is a few creaks and rattles in the interior come and go, cant figure why. If you buy this car get a radar detector you will need it.
