Surpassed its reputation - 2005 Acura TL
By FLATL05 - September 19 - 12:13 pm2004 was classified as CAR OF THE YEAR. I just bought a 2005 TL, and it exceeds what I expected. I couldnt find a car to replace my BMW 540i, as it spoiled me. On the test drive, I finally knew I found the car.

Stylish but not good - 2005 Acura TL
By Bruce Theus - September 18 - 2:16 pmI purchased the TL about 8 months ago after owning a 2000 RL and was initially impressed with its fun to drive performance. However after a few months the ride turned harsh and bone jarring, There are sometimey rattles occurring throughout the interior that cant be pin pointed and wind noise is pronounced. There is a blind spot on the drivers side that I cant seem to adjust too. At the rate that rattles are occurring I am sure that I will have to get rid of it before I reach 25m miles. While the car looks good and is fun to drive better quality can be had in a Honda Accord. Acura is on the right track but this car does not have the quality that I have been used to with Acura.

Love It and Hate It! - 2005 Acura TL

The seating is not made for comfort, the front seats are uncomfortable for long periods, After four months of ownership, creaks and rattles came from the interior. The car has several serious blind spots. My main complaint is with the transmission. It slips upon acceleration, jerks when you drop from 55 to 40 (not by braking, but by taking your foot off the gas) and my top frustration with the transmission, the differential whines when driving and sounds as if you are driving a truck, rather than a TLC (total luxury car)

I love the Navigation system and Stability system, and the voice command phone, nav, audio, and a/c! This is one responsive and handsome car. I like that Honda/Acura sells you a car with most things already included. It is the right size and is easy to park. All my friends and family love this car.

This car has the whole package and looks beautiful in black with grey interior. Lots of technology to learn, but I am looking forward to that too. Navigation is awesome!

I would NEVER have considered this car, as Acura was not on my radar. I drove it, and bought one off the showroom floor. Boy am I happy. Where can you buy a car like this with all the standard equipment at this price. FORGET BMW

Great Car - 2005 Acura TL
By Alex - August 1 - 3:41 pmIve had the car alomst a year and its still fun getting in it. Simply a pleasure to drive and sit in. Comfortable, even for long rides. Good gas milage even when you have a heavy foot. Great gadget car, lots to play with. Nav system is the best on the market and the display is huge.Blue interior lights are great at night and very easy on the eyes.
