  • STILL HAPPY WITH IT - 2005 Acura TL

after 33,000 Im still satisfied with the car. The problem area was memory seat and moisture inside the headlights. But after being replace no more problem. I would have love to have a FX35 but it was out of my range maybe next time when my least is up. For the money this is a great car. If you shop around you can buy this car close to invoice $30,300 or less so do your homework. Compare that to a C class or a 3 series and G35 and the TL is a great value and a great resale when your ready to sell it.

only had it for about two weeks, but it seems to be the car for me.

I have it for two weeks. Except some tire defect which was fixed by the dealer, it has been great. The MPG really sucks though. Im averaging 22. The technology is really great. I got an audio DVD and the sound isnt as great as one would think. The styling, interior and ride quality are very good. This is my first acura, and it has a lot of good features for the price. A great buy!

  • Best combo of perf + luxury + value - 2005 Acura TL

Consumer Reports had this one right (rated "top pick"). Far far better value than BMW and Acuras rep for quality and reliability is BETTER than BMW and much more so than Audi. The only low: weak torque in 1st gear. Outside of that, EVERYTHING else is FABULOUS. Supple ride, nimble, powerful, responsive. Virtually perfect fit and trim, roomier back seat than Audi A4 or BMW 325/330. DVD audio (stereo) beats any 2-channel CD system. Once you experience the Navi system, youll never go backwards to non-Navi. Youll NEVER get lost! Three of my friends with BMWs were, RU ready: Jealous! They paid more, and they got LESS. A TEST DRIVE will convince you very clearly.

  • Just the best... - 2005 Acura TL

Excellent car, the best Ive ever driven. No matter what other reviews may say, I did not notice any substantial difference in handling compare with BMW 3 series. The only small problem Ive noticed was sometimes not very smooth upshift of the auto transmission when the car moves from complete stop.

Great get up and go. Drives smooth with good acceleration. This car appeals to both men and women. Definite buy for the price.

  • Best car Ive owned - 2005 Acura TL
    By -

I read a lot of reviews about the TL before I bought mine. I drove both the 6 speed and the 5 speed automatic. I recommend the automatic because it definitely exhibits far less torque steer than the manual, and with the traffic in California who really wants to deal with shifting (besides, the automatic has a manumatic feature which really works! Im surprised that it sticks well enough in corners, as long as you dont take it too hot, that I really dont miss my IS 300. On the flipside, the turning radius is longer than I wanted and the disclaimer for the Navi system everytime you start the car is just way too annoying. The car is very quiet, and the ride firm but comfortable.

  • Great Total Package - 2005 Acura TL
    By -

I have owned Saabs and Volvos for many years and decided to look for an all around performer for road trips, city driving, snow, ice and hot weather driving. I looked at all the competitors to the TL and found the TL to be tops in the "total package"; the well integrated controls of the excellent sound system, navigation system, the blue tooth cell phone technology, the power and handling. There are definitely improvements that can be made but no other car puts it all together like Acura did with the TL at under $35K. A bit surprised about the poor milage the TL has shown me in the one year Ive had it - only averaging 17MPG mixed. Nice job Acura and its also built and designed in the US.

  • Sharp, fast, Fun to Drive - 2005 Acura TL

Im 49---needed something sporty without spending a ton. Got it! Chose Black color--looks GREAT when clean! but you should plan on washing it every week with this color. I have had ZERO problems, now have 7000 miles on it! I really recommend this car to anyone. Navigational system great...would NEVER buy another car without it...

  • Choose TL over Accord - 2005 Acura TL
    By -

Looked at TL and Accord. Dealers are giving away the Accord right now. I would have paid under invoice for the Accord, with TL you are lucky to pay $1000 over invoice. Accord was a great value, but did not have the pizazz of the TL. I was still willing to pay the extra $$. Would recommend getting Navigation, integration is extremely functional. Took advantage of Acura 2.9% financing.
