Cheaper than Lexus - twice the features - 2005 Acura TL
By DPCarrier - July 10 - 9:04 pmThis is a great car that after 3 years of ownership I still love. Beautiful styling, excellent fit and finish. The nav system is incredibly accurate (although I was not impressed with the upgrade DVD which cost $250 and was not much more helpful than the original one) Why did they stop making DVD Audio, the quality is phenomenal in this stereo.

3-yr leasee - 2005 Acura TL
By deed766 - July 8 - 10:20 pmI had leased this vehicle. 2005 Acura TL with navigation, for 3 years. The car was very reliable, very attractive (even after 3 yrs. the car still got head turns), and the price was very affordable compared to other cars in its class. As far as pricing, you cant get any better when purchasing an Acura because this is the only make i that gives you all of most desirable add-ons in the base model. Plus if leasing, Acura has a great leasing program and gives the best natural wear and tear policies. Needless to say, I was very reluctant to hand this car over to the dealership at the end of my lease term. The only reason was due to high gas prices. Now i am looking for a better gas mileage

TL 16K Update - 2005 Acura TL
By jamrock66 - June 25 - 7:26 amMy earlier review was scored 7.6 at 700 miles with my low scores in the comfort (passenger seats), fuel economy (23MPG Avg. on a 60 mile RT commute), and performance (compared to Infiniti G35) arenas. At 16K, rear seat comfort for my skinny 12 year old is still an issue. Same 23MPG. My scores on safety/performance is up to a 10! Several close calls in the city & on the highways in Atl, GA and the car responded predictably and confidently. I am beginning to hear interior rattles to be addressed by dealer). Had 2 Maintenance minders for service in 16K!! Both for oil/filter and 1 tire rot.. Tire wear is excellent. Reliability is a 10. Some noticeable wrinkling of leather seats (espec. driver).

By Vesta28 - June 22 - 9:41 pmI had an 02 Acura RSX before and the build quality was much better. This one has some rattles and some fit and finish issues. Road noise. Now the pros, great looks, interior design, mpg 32 freeway, 22 city, great value, fast.

This is An Awesome Car!!! - 2005 Acura TL
By Reni - June 15 - 4:49 pmMy TL is fun to drive. I only buy cars made by Honda. The TL is very good on gas (26 mpg). I like the sporty style of the car. I get a lot of compliments on my TL. It drives perfect. I would not trade my TL for another car. I love it!!

My TL - 2005 Acura TL
By Nikki - June 2 - 10:30 pmThis car was an excellent investment. I am impressed with the durability, reliability, and performance of the vehicle. Despite its 270 hp, the gas tank is small, so I only end up spending anywhere from 30-34 dollars on gas (that is with the currently high gas costs in NY). Its a six cylinder, so fuel efficiency is not expected to be quite like a four cylinder, but its pretty good. The pick-up and overall speed of the car is excellent- it packs enormous power! The only qualm I have is that I figured the stereo system would have been a bit better in sound. Dont get me wrong, its great. But initially, I had expected a little more bass and volume. But I highly recommend it to anyone

Awesome first luxury car! - 2005 Acura TL
By Elizabeth - May 30 - 12:53 pmI am so glad to be in a well-made vehicle. I am 25 and getting into my career as a commercial interior designer, so this car is still fun to drive for my age, but has the luxury that I need to take my clients around.

Great Car! - 2005 Acura TL
By Steve - May 21 - 9:50 amThis is the first time I actually test drove a variety of cars in the same class. Some I liked and some I didnt but in the end we chose the TL and have not regreted it a bit. We now have 29000 miles on it and it has been great! Power is great along wioth good mileage. The Dealer has also treated us well and gave us a better then fair price for it to. It does have a bit of torque steer at times and is going through tires alittle faster the I would like but I cant say thats not part of our fault. the Navigation system is very good along with the XM and DVD audio when you can find a good one to put in. A great car that gets my wife and two boys where they want to go safe a Fast.
