  • If feels so great, what power - 2005 Acura TL

It is a great car and is just not bland like previous models. I have put it on the road and it is a marvel to drive.

  • What a great package at a great price - 2005 Acura TL

Spent two months researching and testing numerous sedans. As a tall driver (64") coming over from a SUV, I was looking for roominess, economy, and hopefully decent styling and sportiness at no more than around $50K. A tough combination indeed!! First zeroed in on Avalon and C300, then test drove BMW 330 & 530, A4, G35, M35, Maxima, Lexus 330, and Volvo S80. Whew! The TL was just simply the best combo of what I was looking for. Surprisingly roomy. What a ride! What features! The rest - forget it. Im in heaven!

  • TL pleasure to drive - 2005 Acura TL

I have driven the car now for three weeks, 2k miles. I tend to be a "spirited driver", so driving this car has been a nice experience. The only drawback is the torque steer resulting from the FWD on takeoff. I am used to rwd systems, so it comes as a surprise when your steering wheel doesnt correct when accelarating and turning at the same time, as when merging into uncoming high speed traffic. Highly recommend in every other respect. Like the XM radio feature too.

  • Purrfect - even while being totaled.... - 2005 Acura TL

Loved this car - so much fun. The only problems were rear visibility - I scraped the rear bumper more than once and road noise. A few days ago the car was hit in the front side by a guy in an 87 Lincoln Town Car (89,000 lbs of metal) going through a red light about 30 MPH. It took off the whole front 2 feet of the car. Air bags deployed properly, the cockpit was completely protected and my sweetie, the sole occupant and driver, walked away without serious injuries. I spent a week thinking I might want a different car, just for something fun, but eventually decided (happily so) that a new 2007 Acura TL would be great. So thats what I have now.

  • Acura TL is Excellent - 2005 Acura TL

The Acura TL is an excellent investment. It looks great (especially with the underbody spoilers), is very reliable, and gets good gas mileage. You can really feel the 270HP and its very fun to drive. I highly recommend.

The Acura TL 2005 has been a great car to own and drive. I went from a German vehicle so the steering and handling took some getting used to - but thats the only flaw in my eyes. Otherwise the car is amazingly well designed.

  • I love this car!!! - 2005 Acura TL

After about a year the only matinence on the car is oil changes and with a little disappointment tires. It seems the bridgestones that they use on the Navigation cars use a softer compound that wears faster though they do handle incrediblely well. Be it snow or rain the car sticks. With the tires wearing there has only been a slight loss in traction. The performance is top notch and the car is loads of fun to drive. Great for that long road trip too.

  • What a fun car! - 2005 Acura TL

After test driving and researching the Acura TL, Audi A4, Volvo s40 and the Saab 93, The Acura TL was in fact the funnest sedan in this price range. It has great power, a luxurious feel and a solid ride. Its also technologically more advance than any of its counter parts.

  • Great Car - 2005 Acura TL

Bought 05 TL with A-spec package used with 6300 miles. Love everything about this car from the exterior to the killer interior. The A-spec package really makes this car stand out. Love the wheels and the ride the upgrade provides. For me the fuel economy is great. Took a trip to Colorado in May, 565 miles each way, and averaged 32 mpg going there and back. The sound system is the best stock system I have heard. Only wish they had Sirius instead of XM.

  • A year with the new TL - 2005 Acura TL
    By -

After a full year of owning the 04 TL, I have only two complaints. First, is the lack of a trip computer feature integrated into the nav system. Some product manager just got it very wrong to put the trip computer into the message center instead of the nav system like the Honda Accord. Luckily, you can work around this by booting the nav system into the Honda version, just change a couple of file names on a CD-R and presto - you have the Honda nav features including the trip computer with real-time mpg bar graph. My second gripe is the way the driver door springs back at you as you attempt to open the door. No workaround or adjustment according to Acura.
