A number of interior, exterior and mechanical updates were made for 2004. The V6 engine added slightly more power and is now rated at 265 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of torque. Outside, you'll find a restyled front fascia, new chrome trim, dual exhaust tips, a new wheel design for Touring models, updated headlights and taillights and a rear wing spoiler. The interior now features trendy brushed metal-look trim for the center stack, leather armrests, auto-on/off headlights, new ambient foot lighting and enhanced functionality of the second-row seat for third-row access. Touring models get a new version of the Bose premium audio system and power lumbar support for the driver seat. Finally, safety has been improved on all MDXs with the addition of side curtain airbags and a tire-pressure monitoring system.

  38,500 + tax After researching a lot on SUVs that have a 3rd row option, we settled with the 4Runner (V8) and the MDX. After test driving MDX, my wife didnt like the rough handling of the 4Runner. Style and safety were our main concerns. MDX, being Acuras only SUV, they have really expended significant research into it. The twin exhaust and the VSC in the 2004 model embellishes the 265-hp engine. We got the silver with ebony interior. I recommend getting the all-purpose mats ($120.00), original mats seemed to stick everything that falls on it. A good-size SUV that is stylish, powerful, and yet quite smooth to handle, but not for unpaved adventu

  I love the MDX, It blows away the Lexus for the money, the Volvo has a good looking interior, but doesnt have any of the features that are available in the Acura. The Nav system & the entertainment system are very user friendly & are worth the price. Its the best luxury vehicle for the money.

  We have had the Acura MDX for 8 months now and absolutely love it! It has been a perfect car and have had absolutely no problems. The only thing you have to be careful about is that, with the 265 Horsepower engine, it is easy to get going too fast - have to watch those speed limits carefully.

  Fun to drive, nav system is incredible (but slightly out-dated restaurant locations), Bose sound system is good, great acceleration (but feels slow), slight wind noise (but 200% better than my Integra), simple instrumentation, slightly wider than I would have liked (77"W is from door to door, not including mirrors), rear camera is awesome, smooth ride. What else can I say....so far, I really like it. I waited until the last day of June to buy. On the last day of the month, all Acura dealers dropped their prices to at least $500 over invoice. I paid invoice price, plus they threw-in a decor package.

  Everything is the best with this suv, except for its door lock switch- it cheapens the vehicle a little.

  Only complaint? Its difficult to thoroughly clean front seat interior area around the "cracks"-near gear shift,cup holder and door panels. I am very pleased with gas mileage-I have gotten over 23MPG on the highway twice. Probably would have been 25 if I had kept it down to 55. LOVE MY ACURA!

  Absolutely the best I have bought. I was originally going to purchase a BMW X5 but changed after driving the MDX. It has more features and creature comforts at no extra charge. I also was impressed with its handling ability at higher speeds.
