  • Excellent Compnact Car - 1993 Geo Prizm

I purchased the car brand new. Everything was spectacular on the car as well as the performance. The car wasnt equipped with much gadget back then, as for todays car. No major headache from the car as far as the engine and transmission. This car is a Toyota Corolla Version of American. All it was needed was the routine maintain. At last with about 110,000 miles, I had to let it go. The buyer now probably still has the car.

  • 315,000 miles, and I still cant scrap it - 1997 Geo Prizm

I inherited my 1997 Geo Prizm from my father when I was 16 years old (Im currently 26). At the time it had already been in his possession for 7 years. It was a stick shift. I learned with no RPM gauge, and I attest to date that it is the best car to learn stick on its industrial strength, you learn by sound and feel, and the clutch isnt very sensitive. Its now a 19 year old car, and has 315,000 miles on it. It has taken me on multiple round trips from Columbus to Chicago and DC, and I still drive it safely on multi (3 +) hour trips. I have invested very little until these last final two years in repairs. (Most issues are general wear/age issues, the most recent my sad reality check--rusted brake lines). I havent calculated mileage in a minute, but several years ago it was *still* running over 37 mpg. It is so well loved that I cant stand to trade it in, and will be giving it away to a friend, who says that even at 315k miles it is more reliable than his own vehicle.

  • Very reliable car! - 1995 Geo Prizm

I bought this car used 10 years ago not expecting it to last this long. It had 63k miles when I bought it and now has close to 120k mile now. This car is very reliable and starts on the coldest mornings. If you take care of it, it will take care of you and this car has done that. I wish Chevy still made these cars because I would buy another one at the drop of a hat!

  • you will be happy you bought it - 1994 Geo Prizm

I bought the car in 1999 when it has 104k now +200k still have the original muffler, front calibers, front shocks, fuel pump and filter same headlight bulbs, and still cold ac, really low maintenance cost new battery lasted 10 years start after one or two clicks. I bought it cheap to be my second car but my 1st car is gone and the prizm keep on ticking never gave me a reason to get rid of it. I see many prizms on the road when driving you just cant kill them. Bought 1997 prizm a year ago, the same quality

  • Take care of it and it will last a long time. - 1990 Geo Prizm

I bought this car used in 2012. It was in bad shape when I got it due to prior owners neglect. I put a lot of work into it a little at a time. I wanted an older car I could fix up. New windshield, new brakes, new thermostat (wasnt heating up the interior of car). interior door knobs, new battery, new starter, new serpentine belt, the radiator hose had a leak but I got that fixed right away. The headlights were the old type, so I upgraded to the best bulbs on the market. The bulbs were 50 bucks each, and well worth it. It runs great now, and havent had anymore problems with it. It is a basic car with NO computer stuff. It gets me from point A to B, and I dont have a car payment.

  • What a CAR !!!!! - 1995 Geo Prizm

I have been reading reviews of many owners of this car and it seems this simple car just makes a place in your heart. Just like many other owners, I cannot think of parting away from this car. This car has really been like a reliable partner. I have 5 spd stick shift and It just turned 200K miles and boy that was a proud moment for both of us. It is amazing how such a simple car can be so good and reliable. This is one tough car which looks not so tough. Just regular oil changes, Timing Belt change, Fuel Filter change and tune ups, changed the alternator and Starter once and this car is still going strong. Wish they could make cars like these more.

I have been driving this car for 5 years now and I have no complaints. I regularly drive the length of California and Ive never had a problem.I also take it over many passes and through the mountains regularly. It starts every time and gets great gas mileage. For the money its a steal. It doesnt have many interior perks, but it does everything I need.

  • Its 23 years old, cant be too mean... - 1990 Geo Prizm

We bought this car in 2010 for $1,000. It is thee most basic thing on the block. The only upgrade it has is it being automatic, oh and it having A/C. This poor thing has been used and abused. It has 244K miles on it. Whines like a 5 year old. But all and all, if you want to buy something that will get you to school, has nothing on it, and does not want performance, then this is for you. They are very cheap to buy. And it has Toyota parts. Good car to have if you really want to down size.
