FAV VAN FOR THE FAM!!! - 2009 Volkswagen Routan
By Emilee Jacobs - April 8 - 12:26 amYes the 2011 VW Routan is a borrowed body and design concept from the Dodge Caravan but its overloaded with German engineering and thats exactly what I needed and wanted for my family. My four children and my Mother are seated comfortably on every trip, theres lots of room for our items and activities and I wouldnt want to drive anything else except for the Amarok but unfortunately those arent sold here in the U.S. We also enjoy our 2003 VW Beetle TDI (Diesel). My child plan on driving their own VWs when they become of age. YAY!

VW Routan is King! - 2009 Volkswagen Routan
By James - January 29 - 2:53 pmWe bought this van a month ago and have put over 2000 miles on it already. It rides and performs very well and I would recommend this to anybody. The rear entertainment system or VES as they call it is the best with two boys. The van is comfortable to ride and handles very much like a car. We test drove the Chrysler and then the VW and wow what a big difference. If anybody is looking for a minivan you must look at this. VW was offering some great rebates on the van as well and we saved over 10,000 dollars off MSRP!

From Odyssey to Routan - 2009 Volkswagen Routan
By newvwfan - August 19 - 10:30 amWe previously had a 07 Odyssey. We got the 09 Routan for the 0% financing, but have been blown away with how much we like it over the Honda. Driving down the road, it is far quieter. The drive feel is awesome, they nailed the suspension. This is a small thing, but the buttons for everything are in the right places, easy to find and use in comparison. We started out with a Voyager, Montana, Uplander, Odyssey, now Routan. The only negative thing I can find in reviews is that people resent that its a partnership with Chrysler and not pure VW. Get over it, this is an awesome minivan.

My wife and I love this minivan! - 2009 Volkswagen Routan
By Laine Adrian - March 4 - 7:20 pmWe looked and looked for 3 months prior to settling with the VW. I am a German car fanatic and had only owned Mercedes and VWs in my recent past. My wife was more open so we looked at the different brands. The need for a minivan came apparent when our second child arrived and between two child seats and all the "stuff" that you need, our sedan had been outgrown. The Routan felt more comfortable, more powerful, my wife really likes the amenities that it has and how it handles. VW, Honda and Toyota models do compete however, the VW takes the title for looks, comfort, performance and style. Ive seen cites comparing the Routan with Kia and honestly, they arent even in the same league.

It is a family cruiser with class.We have had brakes replaced by VW at NO charge and no hassle. VW people are good to work with

Been Great - 2009 Volkswagen Routan

So far, everythings been great about this vehicle and it now has 15,500 miles, with no electrical/mechanical issues. The Routans interior is the nicest of all minivans Ive test-driven. Best of all, the ride comfort and quietness give me and my family a peace of mind, and I learned how very important it is to be able to carry a normal conversation on a long trip, which you cannot do if youre in other popular (for no real reason) minivans that produce wind/road noise. Chryslers done an awesome job for the Routan and the VWs suspensions just ingenious— makes it a luxury minivan, not an average utility vehicle for a family.

The best minivan in the next few years - 2009 Volkswagen Routan

Months prior, I have test-driven other minivans, but most have issues with either road noise/breaks or rattling. Then, I test- drove the Routan; I was impressed for it is very smooth, very quiet and does not produce road noise. The VW suspensions also absorb rough and uneven surfaces very well. Ive been advised to go for the Japanese minivans, which are reliable. Well, they are, but Id rather deal with thinking how long the Routan will last than dealing with road noise and rattling that will surely distract me every time I drive. Great Family friendly Vehicle - 2009 Volkswagen Routan
By Anthony - August 5 - 1:13 pmHaving 2 small kids, and the endless stuff that goes with them, i knew the days of non-mini van ownership were numbered. I drove the Grand caravan and was very impressed with the engine and transmission performance, Loved the conveniences of all the interior cubbies and storage compartments. I feel that VW addresses the ONLY downfall of chrysler, and thats its interior design. VW nailed the dash setup, the softtouch material looks and feels great. this van is HUGE! with the 3rd row seats folded, i can roll in strollers and bikes and still have room for the weeks groceries. the 3 year maintenance is a great relief. gas Mileage is outstanding!!, im getting 25.1 Highway (62mph)

We like it very much, but not typical VW - 2009 Volkswagen Routan
By lenny97 - April 28 - 4:40 amWe have the Routan for 10 days now and are very happy with it. Glad to have the 4.0l engine. We are from Europe and had a VW Eurovan TDI. Unfortunately this not in the US lineup. The Routan might be german tuned, but still gives a American ride feeling. It ist very comfortable and quiet.

I like it! - 2009 Volkswagen Routan
By nich617 - April 11 - 7:53 amI have only owned the Routan for 4 days now but so far so good. There is SO much space. The gas mileage isnt bad for a minivan. It is definitely the best looking minivan out right now. Im a little nervous about the fact that Chrysler has a hand in producing them but time will tell.
