Super bunny comes to US - 2004 Volkswagen R32
By DJCampy - February 9 - 2:00 amAbout a year ago I was all set to purchase a WRX, until I drove it. Low quality interior, paint and turbo lag left me feeling flat. Dont get me wrong its a nice car but not nice enough. It wasnt so much beter than my 1998 Jetta GT that I couldnt justify the $26k. My buddy (who has a 2001.5 GTI VR6 which I liked a lot but it was front wheel drive) told me about the R32 and gave me some european mags covering the car and I was immediately sold. I went down to the dealership and put down the deposit and began my wait. Six months later I took delivery of my black R32. I took it easy on the car for the first 1k miles (to break it in) then the fun began.

Permanent Grin - 2004 Volkswagen R32
By ubeR32 - January 30 - 10:00 amThis is my 3rd VW VR6 and by far the best. VW got just about everything right on this car. The Haldex AWD and the engine combination provide a well rounded, every day driving, performance rocket. Ive driven in STi and Evos and felt like I needed to visit the chiropractor afterwards. The R32 provides a stiff but comfortable ride. The sound of the exhaust is something that is constantly turning heads of people expecting to see an Italian exotic. The car in Black or Silver will definitely fly under the radar and "blend in". But I digress; this car is a blast to drive and is equal, if not better in some respects, than other performance coups (M3, S4, 911)

I still smile at it - 2004 Volkswagen R32
By VWnutAZ - January 10 - 3:26 pmI still love driving my car. The engine sound and the handling are excellent. I have had a lower suspension installed (which also weighs less); love it. Its really nice to have the Golf (GTI) get a great engine and suspension (especially independent rear) that put it back on top of the list of small performance cars. I think Volkswagens efforts to push their products upscale is a success.
