Overview & Reviews
For the 2010 Volkswagen Jetta, there is a refreshed instrument panel and cabin trim, a new climate control system and a new radio. Most trims also see a new leather-wrapped, multifunction steering wheel and standard Bluetooth connectivity. An iPod connection becomes a separate option (you had to get the navigation system before) while the SportWagen loses its SEL trim level and the accompanying turbocharged engine. The sport-tuned GLI has been discontinued. Finally, there's a new Limited Edition trim and the TDI Cup "Street" Edition debuts with an extra helping of tuner flavor.
- Diverse selection of strong engines, stellar fuel economy in TDI trim, upscale look and feel, comfortable seats, impressive cargo capacity in both body styles, pleasant ride.
- Below-average fuel economy with 2.5-liter engine, lackluster brake performance, small backseat compared to midsize competitors.

What a bargain - 2010 Volkswagen Jetta
By brandineu - May 7 - 8:06 amI was dissatisfied with my 09 Accord Coupe 4cyl-auto and wow what a surprise the Jetta Wolfsburg turned out to be. Excellent performance from a 4cyl. engine and very good fuel economy as well. The fit and finish is well above average for this price class vehicle. The sport suspension is firm, but not overly so. The leatherette seats are supportive both around town and on longer trips. The appearance of the interior suggests a much more expensive vehicle. Throw in a roomy trunk and fold down rear seats, I dont know what more you can ask.

German sports sedan at a very good price - 2010 Volkswagen Jetta
By JohnnyV1 - April 17 - 11:26 pmI was in the market for a used Audi/BMW but I decided to buy a new Wolfsburg Jetta instead. I have to say that I am not disappointed in the decision because the car is very fun to drive. The shifting action with the manual is very clean and precise. The engine makes a lot of power when you stomp on the gas or you can make it conserve fuel if you baby the accelerator and keep a conservative shift pattern. Coming from an economy car, this Jetta feels very tight when going around corners or merging into traffic. I do have a few gripes. The sunroof even when closed is very noisy at highway speeds. There also does not seem to be a lot of storage space.

80k - 2010 Volkswagen Jetta
By chucky15 - February 11 - 7:03 amGot this guy new in 2010. I have put close to 80,000 miles on it since. For the price a great car. Fuel economy is amazing( especially if youre a mostly highway driver). Ive averaged 45 mpg in mostly highway driving. City driving gets 32mpg. The torque band is equally awesome. DSG is fantastic. As it is a VW and a diesel you can definitely count on annoying little things going wrong with the electric(AC went out, covered under warranty, O2 sensors died wayyy earlier than they should have etc). The one BIG issue I had was the High Pressure Fuel Pump exploding and destroying the fuel line. VW covered it as they know its an issue.Hope I can get 200k out of it.

TDI - 2010 Volkswagen Jetta
By Hunter - November 20 - 8:46 amBought solely for the TDI and it has been flawless. However maint issues, susp noise, glove box latch (4th Ive seen), rear window leaks when lifted up via the wiper mount. Overall has been a good car, sat, CD, seats, and we love the sunroof. Mileage, best has been 42 hwy wo ac, 39 with, hoping for better, but it only has 9k miles. Free maint is good, but should cover more. Had to shop for a fair price so be careful, some dealers will bend you over the table. I would suggest highly an extended warranty, not feeling to safe. Sold my 08 TL Type S due to gas mpg and job change and wish I still had it due to the maint issues already on the VW.

Frustration! - 2010 Volkswagen Jetta
By 4 Paws - February 5 - 12:46 pmBought the TDI Sportswagen manual trans because it was a good looking little car with nice styling and good fuel mileage. Car cant stay out of the shop! In the first 25 days of owning it has been back twice for multi-day stays in the dealership service dept. Dealer is trying hard but the car has mechanical problems. VW just isnt building reliable cars. Spent good money and didnt get good quality.
