  • Theirs a reason they are expensive! - 2003 Toyota Tacoma

Please, if you are buying on price alone, dont buy! I started down this road (no pun intended) of purchasing a new truck with the mindset of lowering my monthly payment. Well, I did that, and I didnt have to settle for a Ranger either. Toyota offers an amazing number of creative finance options, all designed to get you into the truck of your dreams, at a payment you can afford. Yes, they are expensive, but then again, the manufacturer should know what their product is worth. The fact that this is the ONLY four wheel drive truck recommended by Consumer Reports to purchased as used says enough to me.

  • I LOVE my Taco - 2003 Toyota Tacoma

I loaded it up 1100 lbs. of bricks, stones, and playsand, and it hummed along with no complaints. I love the V6. In town gas mileage is great, between 19-20 mpg. Highway within the 20-22 mpg range. Best tank was 21.85 mpg with 80% hwy, 20% in-town. Just keep the speed below 69 mph for better gas mileage (but I did go 75-80 mph from time to time). Ride is not bad at all for a truck although I would change the factory tires when they wear out for better traction.

just bought my 2003 tacoma, traded in a faulty 2000 cheverolet impala. (that was a bad car) so far the truck is simply great, my wife hugged it the other day. "She was happy about loosing the crappy impala too". seats a little too small, clock in wrong place. Seems very solid and well built so far.

This is the 4th Toyota truck Ive owned. It has been highly reliable; no surprise repairs. I would not consider another truck. My only complaint is unstable feeling at high speeds; this goes away with weight in the bed and I have taken to hauling a few bags of sand around.

  • Shame on the Dealer - 2003 Toyota Tacoma

Im very pleased with my "new" Tacoma truck. It had 710 miles and was represented as new. It was delivered dirty, after I asked to have it cleaned pryor to purchasing. The salesman was short with me at times, and the service department was worse. Several people in service were nice, but a few made uncalled for comment. Good Truck bad people.

  • Good Looking Exterior - 2003 Toyota Tacoma

Purchased my 2003 in Sep 2002 off the lot. Leather package but in my excitement I didnt realize until the next day it had no cruise control. For what I paid cruise should not have been an option. Truck is very roomy and quite powerful.

  • Best ever owned - 2003 Toyota Tacoma

Best well-made vehicle ever owned. Everything just seems to have been efficiently and ergonomically designed with the drivers needs and comforts in mind. Construction appears to be made with sound materials and involves quality engineering. Detroit needs to look closely here at a winner.

only have had great things with toyota. this new tacoma so far is the best yet.

  • Performance - 2003 Toyota Tacoma

After comparing all trucks in this class the Toyota by far offers the most for your money. I own a 4-runner with a 3.0 and it has trouble with mountian roads. This Tacoma powers up the hills with no problem. Ride and handling is about the same as other trucks with an off road package.
