This Year's Model Updates:

The Sienna has been completely redesigned for 2004. Roomier and more powerful than before, Toyota's minivan entry now has the all-important fold-flat third-row seat, as well as a choice of seven- or eight-passenger seating (on lower level trims) and available all-wheel drive.

Pros:
  • Reliable Camry genes, refined V6, fold-flat 60/40 third-row seat, seven- and eight-passenger seating configurations, available all-wheel drive.
Cons:

Have driven my car more than 10,000 miles in the last few months and it drives great. Had to have the alternator replaced and am driving a Ford Windstar. The difference is night and day. My Sienna drives like a car while the Windstar drives and feels like a big old truck. Cant wait to get my Sienna back!

Wow, we really love this van. We tow a 3500 pound boat, have 2 kids, and 3 dogs and this is exactly the vehicle we need. We ordered it (waited 4 months) in 2003 and took delivery in March. The all wheel drive is incredible. When I pulled out boat out this year people with f-150 pickups were slipping (2wd) but my awd sienna just pulled out the boat with no problems. I know most folks wont pull a boat with a minivan - but with 230 hp you can with ease. We of course have had nooo problems with this van. We traded in a 2000 odyssey on this van an it is a big upgrade. The interior is soo plush. I drive a lexus and I like this van better (wife drives the van).

We needed something larger. So the best option was a minivan based on pricing, gas mileage, and how versatile they are with children.I went a discovered the 2004 Sienna and the first impression I had was WOW! that is a really sleek looking minivan. And once I got inside anddiscovered everything it had to offer I fell in love with it went and purchased one. I love my van and would recommend it to anyone. It is like no other minivan in its class. Toyota really out did themselves this time!

  • So Far So Good! - 2004 Toyota Sienna

Purchased our van in April and have 3400 miles on it so far. Everything seems to be working well. Ride is smooth I think it is better then the Subaru Outback that we traded in. It has more of a car like feel to it then the Honda van. Gas mileage is not bad for such a large vehicle....not sure you can find a SUV with better gas mileage. Does well in the mountain region...climbs large hills and turns tight curves very well for me! Capacity for us is great! It carries two infant car seats, one dog and two adults very comfortably. If your over 6 foot you may not like the back row for leg room. I highly recommend this van if you need more room!

This is a great vehicle so far. It handles well and is so quite that if the kids are talking I can’t hear the van when it starts. The acceleration and handling are outstanding for a minivan. Speed is maintained up long steep mountain passes. The rear seats are very easy to tumble under. The middle row of seats are easy to remove and carry and effortless to flip forward. Gas mileage is impressive. There are plenty of cup and bottle holders. The only complaints are the mirror to look at the passengers is too far back and the glasses holder is in a weird place.

A great improvement over the 2003 model. Great to drive. Quite, a lot of thought went into this van. Fold down 3rd row seat great and easy to do. Slinding door windows which lower part way are great. Comfort is great. excellent back support for driver makes long driving very comfortable. Love this van.

This is my wifes vehicle and she loves it! No more "why do I have ot have a van" talk. We took our first big family trip (5 of us) last week and it did not disappoint. There is lots of room to spread out in comfort. The rear trunk well is incredibly deep and swallows the luggage. It rides smoothly and is quiet and handles securely at speeds of 70 - 90. The seats are comfortable. We are very pleased and strongly endorse. Security of AWD a plus.

Toyota is famous for quality and the Sienna is no let down. They did an excellent job re-engineering the outstanding Honda Oddessy and making it better. Things like split 3rd row folding seats, simple and intuitive controls on the dash make the Sienna a pleasure to own. With supply begining to catch up to demand, I found several dealers willing to come down between $1,500 - $2,400 from MSRP...OH WHAT A FEELING!!

Have driven Navigators last few years. This is a much easier vehicle to drive. Much more practical space for kids, hauling, etc. The wife now asks to drive the van, something she never desired with the suv. Now that i tasted the good life cant see ever going back to an suv.
