  • Tough to beat - 2004 Toyota Sequoia

After owning both a Suburban and Expedition, I can say this is the best of the breed. The smooth ride, tight control, luxurious interior, and JBL sound system make long trips enjoyable. The heart of a Tundra and the soul of a Lexus. I love it!

The vehicle has excellent handling, particularly for a SUV. It comes with a list of options, such as heated seats, front and rear temperature control, a 6- disk CD changer, and even front and rear audio controls. Its the perfect vehicle for a family to its size (room for 8 passengers) but also for the single guy who wants a large vehicle with style. I am extremely happy with my purchase and I always get compliments on its style. The only negative thing about the vehicle is its gas mileage.

This has been a good vechile, except there is no catch to open the gas tank if the mechanism should fail without taking off the skip plate. I hauled a travel trailer, and now need to replace the struts. I was told by the salesman when I bought this vechile that I could do this without any problems; he was wrong.

  • Fun to Drive? - 2004 Toyota Sequoia

Looking through others ratings I could not believe so many 10 ratings for fun to drive. The Sequoia is a solid reliable car (mine has 65,000 miles) but is like driving a bus. The competition does a much better job of building a car that doesnt make driving almost a numbing event. Then again, we are talking a SUV here, a maybe that is what the public wants.

  • Great Car! - 2004 Toyota Sequoia

This car is great and fun to drive! The only problem I have expereinced since purchasing this car is the poor quality in its brakes. I had to replace the first pair of brake pads at only 11,000 miles (less then a year of owning this car). The brake pads were also on a two week back order when my car needed the brakes replaced. Which means to me that Toyota needs to work a little bit harder on resolving their brakes issue. Obviously if there is such a huge demand on their brake pads, something is wrong????

  • Poor Workmanship - 2004 Toyota Sequoia
    By -

This is the 3rd Toyota Ive owned. The Seqoia build quality is poor and has several flaws: 1)no interior handle for opening the rear hatch gate 2)door latches fail frequently if exposed to dust - i.e if you leave the pavement 3)various interior plastic parts/covers fall off 4)paint scratches very easily 5)CD player has broken twice

  • Great SUV - 2004 Toyota Sequoia

I have own many SUVs over the years. I always wanted to drive American (this SUV is buildt in America). Toyota is great best in class. The little know fact that it runs on Reg. Unleaded gas is a day to day savings. The truck handle very well in Snow when FWD is used. For the price and value very much worth the look.

  • Loving it!! - 2004 Toyota Sequoia

I love my Sequoia! It is great for the kids. It is everything I thought it would be and more. It is a comfortable ride and easy to handle. It has such a sophisticated look!

  • 45K on my 04 Sequoia - 2004 Toyota Sequoia
    By -

Just passed 45K on my 04 Sequoia, It hurts to drive into gas station. Except that, I dont have too much complaint. It is roomy, comfortable (the best comfortable seats on cars I ever owned), quiet BUT clumsy. What can I complain? It is a BIG SUV, of course, it wont drive/handle as easy as Accord... I would like to see it acclerate a little faster at traffic light. Feel like grandpa when light turns green.
