This vehicle is underpowered, and in my opinion, was designed primarily for soccer moms transporting kids to and from the field/mall. It was not designed for trailer towing. We tow a 4000# trailer in the warmer months and the vehicle has a very hard time doing it. In trying to pass a slow moving vehicle let alone just accelerate, the engine makes a lot of noise but nothing happens. We are well within the towing limits of the vehicle given trailer weight, passenger/cargo weights etc. We already get bad gas mileage so having a larger engine really wouldnt change things; we would just get more power out.

Comfortable car; found that they hold their value much better than the American versions; back seats a little difficult to fold down for backseat access; do like Fords folding flat seats. Love the SUV thus far.

For its size, the acceleration is exceptional. The comfort is superior in all 8 seats (ok, we are a short family so the leg space in the third seat isnt an issue, but having the same quality of seat in the third row is a definite positive!)

We owned a 2001 Yukon XL 1500 before this and it could not compare to toyota quality.

  • Great ride and style - 2003 Toyota Sequoia

Great looking vehicle with lots of nice features. Its size takes some getting used to as does the gas mileage (12-17) but it makes up for it with style and comfort on a long trip.

  • Great SUV - 2003 Toyota Sequoia

I shopped for a year to find this SUV. Looked at all others and the Toyota won hands down. I bought for a good price and have taken it on an extended vacation through all of Northern Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Texas, and finally back to Oklahoma. Two adults and two kids with all the luggage and junk we could stuff in. It was comfortable and we had no issues with driveability and durability. So far this vehicle has lived up to every expectation I have had. Gas mileage a little low but not out of expected range. Easy for me to drive at 64" and my wife at 52". If you are shopping and want a great SUV, look at this Toyota.

Bought new. Has been a great people hauler and very reliable. The only think I had to change was the VSC computer, expensive $1400 or so. Other than that it was routine maintenance. Original tires didnt last, replaced with Michelins and they look great after 30k miles. I am trading in now for something a bit smaller and got good value even though its a big SUV in the times when thats not cool anymore. Have averaged about 15-16 miles per gallon since we got it in mostly city driving so really cant complain. Someone will be getting a great truck.

I have been extremely pleased with the Sequoia. I bought it for safety (for my daughter) and for its beautiful design and powerful maneuvering abilities. Mine is black with dove gray leather interior.

  • I am in love with my Sequoia - 2003 Toyota Sequoia

I did some research on the suvs I reallyliked and the Sequoia was the best. In most cases was the same but in others was better. It has a lot of space and is not as big as others. Besides it has wonderful security and great features. I am totally in love with it. It is very reliable and the warranty is the best one Ive seen so far.
