Level 6 options. Bought it out of state and drove 500 miles on highway bringing it home. 48 MPG at 65 mph mostly. Within the city highway driving at 55 mph gives about 52 mpg. Hoping to get 60 MPG within the city at mostly 40 mph and 35 mph driving. Will report later. Lots of features, would take me a week to find all the features and test them.

I did a lot of research before buying this car and it helped in my deciding to go with the Prius. I has so many features and is so good on gas, it has good power and very comfortable to drive. I am a 300 lb male and I fit very well in the car and can ggo for long drives with no problem. So far the best car I have ever had.

  • My Second Prius - 2006 Toyota Prius

No matter how many times car people tell me that the Prius is never going to pay for itself, Ill still drive one. This is my second one and I love everything about it, especially the fact that the pollution level is so low. My mileage for my 2003 averaged 45-49 mpg (actual mileage) and the new one is 49-52 mpg so far. Foo on the naysayers-this is a really comfortable and well handling little car. I love the back up camera and the 8 airbag option also.

  • What a car!! - 2006 Toyota Prius

Ive had my Prius for three months and have loved every minute Ive been behind the wheel. My wife is not a car person or a "techie" but she has fallen in love with it, too. Its peppy, has nimble steering, corners easily and turns on a dime. Mileage averages about 50 mpg. On one 50 mile trip on the freeway I got 69 mpg crusing at 68 mph. Even if the real world mileage isnt up to the EPA estimate it still runs circles around most cars out there, especailly the 98 Windstar I happily gave up. After quickly adjusting to its unique controls and dash display we find everything about it to be logical and intuitive. The quality of the build is outstanding. Hands down the best car I have owned.

  • Prius driving fun - 2006 Toyota Prius

I have found the Prius provides one of the most enjoyable driving experiences I have ever had with any car. Over the years I have driven 2-3 dozen different automobiles. What has made the experience so enjoyable is that the car has changed my driving style, all for the better. The on-going fuel consumption monitoring/reporting system has encouraged me to set new consumption goals each trip I make with the car, thus forcing me to do the things that make my drives safer and more economic.

  • no regrets - 2006 Toyota Prius

coming up on the 5 year anniversary of this big purchase for us- we thought long and hard about the investment on so many levels. happy to say 5 years later we have no regrets and are very happy with this car. Reliability has been outstanding. Only routine maintenance with the exception of a leaking water pump caught by the dealer doing routine oil change and repaired under warrranty at no cost to us.

  • Better than expected - 2006 Toyota Prius

This car is an engineering masterpiece. It is quiet with almost no wind noise at highway speeds. It has plenty of room. I enjoy driving it on a daily basis more than our RX330 or 740il. It is a great commuter car.

  • Not as well as expected. - 2006 Toyota Prius

I am somewhat disappointed in the mileage. Over all I am getting about 46 mpg.And I baby it. I bought it used. in excellent condition. It had 5300 miles on it. I have not had any serious problems. GPS map feature leaves something to be desired. Toyota installed the latest program for maps. Some small areas I had are now not on the new level program. The paint is really poor. It shows the smallest maring.

  • 55+ MPG and Getting It! - 2006 Toyota Prius

We purchased our Prius after waiting a month for it to come in. My wife drives 50 miles each way to work and we felt with the rising fuel prices, we needed a change from the PT Cruiser she was driving. This Prius has tickled us to death so far. Its averaging 55 mpg on the Hwy and around 58 mpg in town. We live in a rural area so we have more "country driving". The car is very comfortable with lots of leg room (6 tall). So far weve found nothing to grumble about, and Im picky. Treated extremly well at the Joplin Toyota dealership too. Kept up to speed on delivery and made it happen. Excellent all around sedan with great warranty too!

  • Great but needs some bugs taken out - 2006 Toyota Prius

First of all, the mileage is great. I dont know if Ill ever break even but time will tell. Happiness is only buying 9 gallons of gas at the pump so by that perspective, Im a happy camper.
