  • I love it but - 2005 Toyota Matrix

I love the my matrix its very confortable with its high seats, it sits high like a SUV so that you will have a better view of the road, good pick up, but there is one thing that needs improvement and that is the mirrors they dont fold in, and that can be problem when parking on a busy or narrow street. But its still a great car.

  • outstanding value - 2005 Toyota Matrix

This littele car handles like a dream. We sold our Lexus and got this and do not regret the move at all. Good gas mileage, good ride, a bit noisy, turns on a dime, hauls our kayaks, and we get lots of compliments on it. We added on to our house ourselves and it hauled lots of building materials from the yard to home. We probably abused it some doing that but it still purrs right along.

  • Great mileage, looks, handling, & space - 2005 Toyota Matrix

Just purchased the car (2005 model). . . Im 62" and about 250lbs. and was amazed at the room this car offers for its size. Cost of this vehicle was excellent, looks great, offers excellent features, and has great versatility. This is the first Toyota Ive ever purchased, so I hope its as reliable as my 3 Nissans were. I like this vehicle much better than my 2001 Ford it replaced.

  • Love it but kind of weak - 2005 Toyota Matrix

Ive been wanting this car for years. But before I got this car, I had a 2000 Ford F-150 truck so it was really powerful but it guzzled gas like no other. I sold it and got the matrix. I just love the matrix but I miss the power that I had before. The car is very roomy and fun to drive especially during the summer.

  • Great! Until 100K... - 2005 Toyota Matrix

I have been a big fan of this car since I bought it new seven years ago. I bought the 5-speed manual base line model. And for the first 100K, the only thing I had to replace were the usual things - tires, battery, brake pads, clutch (in that order). In fact, the clutch didnt start to go until I cleared 110K, and I do a lot of city driving. But. In the last six months, the car has just started falling apart. First the clutch, then the parking brake (twice), the struts, the suspension system, the air conditioner is leaking... Ive put more money into this car in the last three months than I did the whole rest of the time Ive owned it.

  • 2004 Toyota Matrix XRS - 2005 Toyota Matrix

The Toyota Matrix XRS is a real unique car. Its hard to classify what it is. Is it a car, wagon, or suv? People have called it a cuv, which is crossover utility vehicle. Im really pleased to have purchase this car. I always get compliments from strangers.

  • My little car. - 2005 Toyota Matrix

My car is just the car for northern Michigan. I live off the main road about 589 feet and to get to the hwy I have to drive up a pretty good grade. The 4 wheel drive is just great amd gives me a sense of confort. I also like the way the seats fold down for storage and the cover piece that keeps things out of view. The controls are placed very conviently and are easy to use. All in all I really think its a great car.

Interior road noise, brakes squeak, brake pads wear out. Outside mirrors are a little too small. Seats are a little too low sitting

  • My Matrix is 2003 - 2005 Toyota Matrix

I purchased the Matrix the first year out, and it has been a great car. I find it drives well both in the city and on the highway. I traded a RAV4 for the Matrix and I like it so much better. There is plenty of cargo room and the fuel mileage at this time is a life saver. I have always been a Toyota woman, and have never really been disappointed. For the money, I think this is the best value on the road.

  • Toyota has started to fall - 2005 Toyota Matrix
    By -

I bought a Toyota after having Jeeps, Fords, and Chevys and I thought I could buy a car that would last 200,000 miles. I was wrong. I am very unhappy with this car and I probably wont buy another Toyota. I will go back to Ford or Chevy. What is wrong: - Constant Chirp, Chirp under the hood. (The belt and tensioner have been fixed and or replaced 4 times.) I only have 71,000 miles on the car. - Drivers door wont unlock without key. - Tires had to be replaced at 15,000 miles. - Fan motor replaced at 45,000 miles as it would not work all the time. I never had a problem with my 1991 Ford Explorer or my 2002 Ford Explorer or my Chevy Pickup (S10). No more Toyotas at my house.
