Nice car, but... - 2007 Toyota Camry
By Roman - May 6 - 2:13 amThis is my second Camry and I like it, especially the art decoish design and simplicity of interior controls. The cabin is more spacious and offers more leg room which is a big plus. Very responsive handling, and on the highway the ride is smooth. Reasonable fuel economy. However I have noticed, like others, that the new transmission is not that smooth, especially when accelerating from a stop. It can occasionally accelerate quickly and jerk you ahead, or hesitate, and sometimes Ive noticed the car slow down unnaturally via the transmission. The motor can be loud when rpms are high. The door handles are awkwardly placed, mainly because they dont allow you to rest your arm on the arm rest.

Best Looking Car with Worst Finish Ever - 2007 Toyota Camry
By jaywa - May 5 - 3:46 amWe have owned our 07 Camry XLE for a year. We loved the styling but not the 4-cyl engine so waited several weeks for a V6. Mileage out of the showroom was way below advertised (barely 22 mpg on a 400 mile interstate road trip), but seems to have come around over time. This car is a blast to drive and turns heads everywhere we go, but it has the worst paint job Ive ever seen. With less than 10,000 miles it already has more scuffs than cars with 50K, plus several chips down to bare metal. This is with 98% paved road driving. Tranny is quirky as well, feels like its shifting all the time. Maybe 4 or 5 speeds and more torque would have been the way to go.

Hoped for more - 2007 Toyota Camry
By Emma - April 25 - 2:53 pmI shopped for months for a new car & picked the Camry. I originally loved it. I thought great mileage & I loved the look of the new Camry. Now I am second guessing myself. Terrible mileage!! 23 mpg in the city & tranny seems sluggish or hesitant. Some of the thing inside seem cheap. If I had known then what I know now I would have bought an H3. If Im going to get mileage this bad I may as well look good doing it.

By ravivar - April 14 - 6:03 pmI purchased 2007 Camry LE V6 new and enjoyed driving all these years.I put up 73,000 Miles and never had issues other than the normal wear and tear.The best part is the V6 Engine which is quick to accelerate and smooth.My car still rides like new.in one long trip i got 34mpg.Now a days its averaging 24 mgp/hwy.The interior looks good but not great.if you look closely the interior has gaps in the edges and finish is not good. The one think i dont like is the steering.Its bigger.. The seats are getting uncomfortable in the long drives.The cabin is quiet and the car rides smooth.

By atoyot1 - April 14 - 6:43 amI liked the looks of the car and it is fun to drive. There is however a dark side. Transmission was replaced by Toyota in the first year. Hope it lasts more than a year. Ongoing problems with excessive tire wear. Has factory installed low profile rims. Get on average 10000 to 13000 miles on the best tires like Michelin. Very disappointing. Toyota wont do anything about it.

Wheres the quality - 2007 Toyota Camry
By aday - April 8 - 1:20 pmMy wife and I purchased an 07 Camry in August of 2006. When its not in the shop, the car runs great. The interior is nice and roomy and the exterior design is beautiful. Unfortunately, we have taken the car to the shop for the sixth time in two years today. It has been in for a rattling sunroof pan within 1 month of purchase; 3 trips for a transmission issue; the radio quit working this summer and needed replaced and now the oil line for the VVTi has ruptured. Per the service manager, Toyota claims that oil from anywhere but Toyota is formulated differently and will erode the line to the point of rupture. The power train warranty will not cover the repair. Next time, I buy Honda!

Wish I had my 1992 LE V6 - 2007 Toyota Camry
By JakeMcNew - March 25 - 12:53 amI hate to buy a new car and plastic parts begin to fall off or come loose. Shoddy workmanship? The car is still brand new and ride quality decreased quickly. Happy with gas mileage but unhappy with quality. I guess thats what happens when fine Japanese cars are built in the USA.

6th Gen. Camry is a Winner!!! - 2007 Toyota Camry
By fsowireless - February 18 - 5:56 amThis is the sportiest Camry ever built, in every aspect. The appearance, admittedly so, is the first time a Camry was something I would consider buying. Not to mention even bothering to look twice at it. After driving my Volvo S80 T6 for the last year or so, I have a certain expectation of torque when I depress the accelerator. The new 3.5 V6 in the Camry did not disappoint. Acceleration was very smooth through out the band thanks to the Dual VVTI and 6 speed automatic with sequential manual mode. It was not as much of a kick as I am used to, but it got up and went when asked.

By Sun - February 2 - 9:20 amNow my Camry is about 2 years old. Dealer has to replace my strut because of oil leak. Also, I was told battery need to be replaced soon. Tire is about to worn out at 27k. I like this car and do maintenance regularly. I was driving 91 Camry for long time and its quality deeply impressed me. I couldnt believe new Camry work like this. I feel disappointed.
