Love my Avalon ,hate the brakes - 2004 Toyota Avalon
By wolfchaser56 - August 18 - 10:00 amThis cxar rides extremely well and provides excellent comfort for comuting. JBL sound system is first rate. A little too much body roll for my taste but I can live with it. Brakes take an eternity to work so you must drive ahead. Thats my only complaint. DFealer said "slow down"

nice car - 2004 Toyota Avalon
By douglass - July 28 - 2:00 amthe avolon is a nice car but I think the dash board could be made so you can better read the speed that you are going it seems that you are always looking around thw steering wheel to check on speed and gas gauge. perhaps in the future this might be something to look at

Lumbar surport - 2004 Toyota Avalon
By carnivalacres - May 28 - 10:00 amLumbar surport is not available on the bench seat model. It is mention as a standard item on New Avalon Vehicle here on the web. The Dealership told me its there when I ordered the New car. After delivery its not there. Now it Toyota is saying they dont install it on the Avalon bench seat. Also this website is not an offical Toyota site is the language used from Toyota when I telephoned them for assistance about this misinformation problem. Now I have a fine Car that gives me a backache!

Still happy - 2004 Toyota Avalon
By Bt Jansen - June 21 - 12:46 pmBeen driving our XLS for about 4 years now. Still very happy. Had an ignition issue where they had to replace the collar. Might have been from AZ heat. Replaced tires at about 55K. In hindsight, would have spent more as you get what you pay for in ride. Cheaper tires not as smooth as stock Michelins. Car is great for long trips. Plenty of power and Lexus like feel to car.

Avalon is a great car - 2004 Toyota Avalon
By lor4262 - June 1 - 2:00 amThe Avalon is a smooth riding car I love it and dont have any complaints in the last 4 months. It runs quiet and has a great pick up. I dont agree with the mileage they quote. I am getting about 17 miles on a gallon, I thought that I would get better mileage. I have the bench seat model and when the middle arm rest is down it makes it hard to latch the seat belt.

04 XLS Review - Fairly good Bang 4 Buck - 2004 Toyota Avalon
By Gem-n-I - October 10 - 9:36 amIve purchased many cars new and after doing some research found a good priced 04 XLS. Paint is kinda cheap. Seats arent comfy as could be, Im 63. JBL premium sound, dual pwr seats w/ 2 memry, heated mirrs + auto dim R awesome. Seats lack thigh comfort 4 longer leg folks. Leather cheap. Replaced batry, win motor @ 30k, audio amp at 50k, drift improvement procedure at 55k, otherwise excellent reliability. Now (5/08) @ 100k and still runs like new. Friends/family say good 2go 200k - well c. Love using reg. fuel 25 mpg hwy 22 town. Get 28 hwy w/premium, cant justify exorbitant prices even for regular. Would recommend, and buy another 04 or older. Good car!

Need More for the Money! - 2004 Toyota Avalon
By Unsatisfied - January 13 - 7:16 pmThe Toyota Avalon XLS is overpriced for an auto that offers the same features as other cars not in the "Toyota" line. The Avalon has no eye-catching appeal.
