Still happy - 2004 Toyota Avalon
By Bt Jansen - June 21 - 12:46 pmBeen driving our XLS for about 4 years now. Still very happy. Had an ignition issue where they had to replace the collar. Might have been from AZ heat. Replaced tires at about 55K. In hindsight, would have spent more as you get what you pay for in ride. Cheaper tires not as smooth as stock Michelins. Car is great for long trips. Plenty of power and Lexus like feel to car.

Avalon is a great car - 2004 Toyota Avalon
By lor4262 - June 1 - 2:00 amThe Avalon is a smooth riding car I love it and dont have any complaints in the last 4 months. It runs quiet and has a great pick up. I dont agree with the mileage they quote. I am getting about 17 miles on a gallon, I thought that I would get better mileage. I have the bench seat model and when the middle arm rest is down it makes it hard to latch the seat belt.

Excellence - 2004 Toyota Avalon
By James Beran - January 13 - 10:00 amWhat can I say? Everything works like a charm. There are no leaks, pops, squeeks...you name it. The mileage increases dramatically when you get real gasoline outside of the city. Crusing at 69 mph for two hours gave me an average economy of 30.4. A15 minute drive in the city gave me 28. That drops with reformulated gasoline in the city so far to make me concerned. But it is the gasoline and not the car.

Excellent Touring Car - 2004 Toyota Avalon
By skastud311 - December 1 - 2:00 amVery reliable, efficient, and well- designed. Comfortable for long drives, yet practical for short errands. Would not trade for any other model.

Avalon - 2004 Toyota Avalon
By peaches10 - October 19 - 2:00 amThis car is very similar to the Lexus 300. I did alot of research on my car before purchase and it has withstood each test I put it to. Although it is more sedate than what I am accustomed to driving (sport car), Avalon is a classy car without being ostentatious. Toyota should brag about her more and stop making it a "secret".

04 XLS Review - Fairly good Bang 4 Buck - 2004 Toyota Avalon
By Gem-n-I - October 10 - 9:36 amIve purchased many cars new and after doing some research found a good priced 04 XLS. Paint is kinda cheap. Seats arent comfy as could be, Im 63. JBL premium sound, dual pwr seats w/ 2 memry, heated mirrs + auto dim R awesome. Seats lack thigh comfort 4 longer leg folks. Leather cheap. Replaced batry, win motor @ 30k, audio amp at 50k, drift improvement procedure at 55k, otherwise excellent reliability. Now (5/08) @ 100k and still runs like new. Friends/family say good 2go 200k - well c. Love using reg. fuel 25 mpg hwy 22 town. Get 28 hwy w/premium, cant justify exorbitant prices even for regular. Would recommend, and buy another 04 or older. Good car!

my toy - 2004 Toyota Avalon
By pavel g - September 1 - 10:00 amI wish it was a little more exciting in its exterior styling. It is comfortable and I enjoy it. I wish it had an exterior combonation lock like my old Lincoln, and I would like the trunk to pop up more.

Love the Avalon - 2004 Toyota Avalon
By lloyd70 - March 26 - 2:00 amThe car is as comfortable or more so than any Cadillac or Mercedes I have owned. It is more fun to drive and I love the gas milage. On a trip to Colorado, we averaged 32 on several legs of the trip. Power is adequate but could be increased.
