This Year's Model Updates:

The XL-7 receives minor updates to the exterior and equipment list. The Touring and Limited models have been renamed EX III and LX III. The front grille and bumper have been reworked, and the foglights, taillights and headlights all have a new look. The front-passenger airbags are now multistage, and there's a new panic button on the keyless remote. Lastly, the V6 engine gets two additional horsepower for a total of 185, and the automatic transmission is now a five-speed unit.

Pros:
  • Affordable base price, competent on- and off-road handling, available seven-passenger seating.
Cons:
  • Cramped second- and third-row seating, dated cabin design, low-grade interior plastics, side airbags not available.

  • Finally an affordable 7 passenger SUV - 2004 Suzuki XL-7

If you have a family with younger children , this is the SUV for you. You can seat 2 adults and 5 kids in this one. The leather seats (ex III 2wd) are a breeze to clean. Gas mileage is reasonable compared to other 7 passenger SUVs. Do not spend 30 or 40 thousand on a 7 passenger SUV/minivan without checking out the XL-7 first (especially if you have kids).

  • Awesome value! - 2004 Suzuki XL-7

My wife and I bought a brand new 04 XL7 EX3 fully loaded to haul our 2 kids around. All I can say is that Im surprised that it offered the same things as the Honda Pilot! Plus, the interior design is nicer, theres standard wood trim, and the leather is softer too. 185HP isnt a lot in the midsize class, but if you need basic transportation and dont need to tow youre absolutely fine. We recently took a 200 mile trip with our kids and a crowded trunk with luggage on the rooftop and I can safely say this car never ran out of breath. Im glad I found Suzuki!

Years ago I owned a Geo Tracker which up to that time was the best vehicle I ever owned. Of course it was a Suzuki. I am pleased to say that I love this XL7, and though Ive only had it a short time, I believe it will be a reliable, capable, and versatile car for years to come. We love all the standard equipment for the price, it drives and handles very well, and I particularly like the body-on-frame construction as opposed to a car-based unibody. I recommend this vehicle to everyone in the market for a small suv.

Excellent overall. Good power and mileage. We use it for touring, back road 4wd. It is towed behind our motorhome. Off road and on road, it is easy to handle. We are amazed at where we have taken it in 4wd.A truly great all round suv. Will buy another when this one is several years old. Reliability is unsurpassed as is the quality. An excellent buy.

  • Great Deal on a 2004 XL-7 in the Calif. - 2004 Suzuki XL-7

We origianlly were going to buy a new 2003 xl-7 because of the 2000 rebate. with loan in hand at 4.89% and knowing we could get the 2003 model for 21,000 after rebate on carsdirect.com. We went to Green Valley Ford Suzuki in Fairfield California(Bay Area). We got a 2004 brand new for 20995 which is unheard of. They also matched our loan and got it at 3.99% Has all electric, cd with subwoofer and tweeters, rear air, seats 7 , mats, allow wheels, automatic w/overdrive, woodgrain interior, heated mirrors, keyless entry, and the 2004 models have a new clear tailights and a hard case for the rear tire.

  • NO Regrets - 2004 Suzuki XL-7

Never considered a Suzuki until I test drove a friends. Couldnt believe the ride & creature comforts. Suzuki bent over backwards to to give the most for your money. My wife & I were looking at Rav 4 & Highlander but to get it equipped the way the Suzuki was equipped wouldve bumped the price well up into the mid 30s. The choice of Suzuki was a no brainer.

  • Best SUV for the money - 2004 Suzuki XL-7

The 04 XL7 is the best vehicle that I have ever purchased. I saw a loss- leader ad in the newspaper and decided to check it out. The 04 XL7 were on sale for 17,900. The dealer honored it and I got some fantastic financing and drove home with my new car. Since my insurance co considers a XL7 as a station wagon, my premium dropped by $400. I couldnt be happier.

The Suzuki XL-7 is the perfect mid size SUV for moms who dont want a BIG SUV or the expensive gas bill! It is kid friendly and easy to maintain! Its comfortable on long trips! I suggest the third seat option, just in case you need it! :) This truck has great storage and gets great gas mileage!

Inside and outside of the 2004 XL-7 is beautiful.Well done wood grain dash and lighting. The heated seats are great and the sound system is the best in class. This SUV is fun to drive and a ride that is as good or better than most large size SUV.The XL-7 V6 motor has great power for it size. When you need to pass someone just steep on the gas pedal and hang on for the ride.

i purchase it in janurary of 2004 and have 12000 miles on it im very pleased with the suv and am thrilled to drive it on long road trips. i enjoy the roomness of the three rows of seat. i also like the idea of folding the seat down when im making a trip to be able to lay out fully in the back. i bring a blanket and pillow and take a nap will on the highway. i also love the rear a/c that allows the passangers to conrtol how much a/c they want. ive taken several trips from new orleans to nashville and dallas and have est. 24 miles to the gallon. i researced this suv against outhers like the kia , hynudia, toyota and rear a/c is optional .
