This Year's Model Updates:

The four-door, five-passenger Verona is an all-new midsize sedan in the Suzuki lineup. With a standard six-cylinder engine, automatic transmission and ample passenger and cargo room, it's designed to go head-to-head with class-leading vehicles like the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord.

Pros:
  • Smooth inline six-cylinder engine, generous features list for the price, nice interior touches, strong warranty.
Cons:
  • Generic looks, marginal output for six-cylinder engine, no side airbags.

This car has all the luxury features that many other cars didnt have and still cost more. A great value. The ride is superb with exceptional smoothness. I have found that the I6 engine will take off and go as fast as I want to. Dash and steering wheel controls are good. Climate control is great.

Here is a automobile that is desigened to fit todays life style at a price the hard working middle class folks can actully afford without selling there first born. The car offers all the wonderfull luxury features one would expect on a Honda Accord EX, but at about six to eight thousand dollars less.Power is not over abundend yet nice and smooth in mid-range of the Porsche designed inline six. Styling of the Verona is very distintive of the Georgario desigen studio and is pleasedly different from the norm. Overall the Verona gives cosumers a lot of driving enjoyment for the dollar.

This car was the best car for the money. Very close to the Toyota Camery and Honda Accord but much cheaper to buy. Very comfortable and the 6 cylinder has great power and economy.

I have made many, many trips to the dealer for numerous mechanical problems with my Verona. I tried different dealers, but they all were just parts changers. They changed the front end bushings, bearings twice, computer, and O2 sensors three times. I have had too many problems to write about here.

This car has been great, other than a few minor problems (break light and heater malfunctions). The dealership quickly fixed both problems with no expense to me. Although, I have had an ongoing problem with the steering wheel stereo controls. The dealership was unable to find the cause of the problem. In December of last year we drove all the way to northern Florida with no trouble at all. In fact, the ride was quite nice and enjoyable.

  • Beware! Lots of mechanical defects - 2004 Suzuki Verona

A year of ownership this car has major problems. Its been in the shop every month since then with repair bills ranging from $250-600 a shot. This car has had 2 engines, a transmission, suspension, wheel bearings, countless computer reprogrammings ($60 each), axle comes loose about every 6 months (makes a grinding/thumping noise upon acceleration); thats just in the time ive owned it. Its past its 36k warranty so the only thing that has been covered is the engine and tranny. I baby this thing as i have done with all my cars. Now not out of love but out of fear of it breaking! My thoughts: Dont ever buy this car! If you have one I suggest dumping it fast! Take the equity hit its cheaper

My Verona was fine the first two months. I got an oil change and two months later the oil light started coming on and off. Finally, it stayed on continuously. The car started to tick while the light was on and the car sounded like a tractor. I took it to be serviced on July 19, 2004 and it is still there. They told me it was the oil pump, oil gauge, and then they relaced the motor. Now they are saying it is idling high. I think they need to replace my car. It has been a month and a half since I have driven my car.

  • Still a Daewoo - 2004 Suzuki Verona

Its a nice looking car, that rides nice. But thats about it! I has no power. And the transmission shifts too soon. Then down shifts abruptly possibily causing loss of control. The car has been back twice for a new computor and its better, but still not right. Its still a Daewoo by a different name.
