  • Great car! - 2010 Subaru Outback

So, I have had this Subie for a while now. I think its a great car! The 4 inch raise is welcome(you still dont have to worry about rolling like you do with SUVs). Now this car is no speed demon (dont mistake this for a WRX!), but it has plenty of get up and go. I went up a 16% incline with very sharp turns and had fun doing it going 40 (In manual mode of coarse :) ). This thing is going to stay on the road. One thing that surprised me, was the very nice sized gas tank(18.5 gallons). I fill up 1/2 as much now! If you live in a hilly area, be careful, I live in Oregon, So its very hilly and the hills can eat gas up quick! I guess that will be for ANY car though!

  • Solid, Fun to Drive - 2010 Subaru Outback

I picked up the new Outback during an intense Northern Ohio blizzard!! It was love at first drive. Handles great with the AWD; Solid feel; Very roomy back seat for kids, plus plenty of cargo space. I get lots of positive comments on the Outback from friends, as well as strangers! CVT took some getting-used-to, but like the salesman said, "it just goes!" Not a rocket by any means, but it seems to help on fuel. Mileage has been pretty good at around 26 mpg in the city.

We had a 2002 Xterra that had reached the end of its life. We were tired of terrible fuel economy and a growing family demanded a more reliable and safer vehicle. Subaru has always been on our "radar" but after driving my parents 2010 Outback we were sold. This vehicle is amazing! There really isnt anything wrong with it. It has better ground clearance than most so called SUVs, better fuel economy, reliability and amazing safety ratings. I used to be a die hard solid rear axle SUV fan but those days are done. Its great driving home with a vehicle in 8 inches of snow, heated seats on of course, passing "SUVs" who have spun out! A great purchase, especially at 2.9% APR!

  • Wonderful Vehicle... So Far - 2010 Subaru Outback

This was definitely one of the best purchases Ive ever made. The car is solid, whips around turns with superior handling. I love the paddle shifters for the manual mode. The premium sound is a plus (worth the extra $$). Easy latches on roof rails to swing them around.

  • Love it! - 2010 Subaru Outback

Hello, Love the car. We purchased the car with 41 miles. I love the feel of the leather and the seats are very comfortable. The dual zone AC is great because I run hot so I always need the AC on. We just took the car on a long road trip with lots of hills and open roads. We averaged 31.5 MPG. Great! Around town I am at about 24 mpg. The fit and finish is great. No squeaks or rattles. My car does not have any vibrations others have noted. My other car is a 2004 Mazda 6 wagon which I also love. However, the finish, stereo, ride, of the outback is great. the power is less then the Mazda, but the Mazda averages only 19 MPG.

Very very pleased! Quietest ever. I love the CVT transmission and the paddle wheel shifters on the steering wheel for holding me back down the mountains w/o wearing out the brakes. I got the tan cloth interior with a gold exterior on the premium model then had the dealer send it to a leather shop to convert to tan leather for about $1200. Getting 30.5 mpg avg so far. Have put 18,000 mi on it already. The media hub and stereo on the premium is super. Love the safety ratings and the all-wx option. My 85 year old parents love to ride in it. I use a thin cushion on the seats to mitigate bottom firmness and headrest pitch discomfort. I really like this car and also own Explorer and Saab.

  • Best of the Best - 2010 Subaru Outback

Wow! Drove it 347 miles non stop from dealer driveway to my driveway, virtually all @ 70 or 75 MPH and averaged 28.2 MPG and still had more than a quarter of a tank left. A little more than five hours: the seat was great; no fatigue, great support. Vehicle is quiet, tight and fun to drive. The 3.6R is a great engine.

  • Very Impressed - 2010 Subaru Outback

When my dealer invited me to drive the 2010 Outback, I was so impressed I had to have one. Their CVT puts all the others I have driven to shame. The interior design and comfort is a step up. I am a long-time Subaru owner and this new Outback just reinforces my beliefs. Its a solid "10" across the board for me. Bring on a diesel.

  • Awesome Deal - 2010 Subaru Outback

Great do-it-all vehicle, comfortable and quiet ride, loads of storage, good gas mileage, low price (compared to similar size cars), convenient features, AWD dependable traction. The new lines of the OB maintain the sleekness of the old OB while giving it a substantive feel. Some used to normal transmissions find the CVT odd, but the lack of jerk in moving from gear to gear is the way the driving experience ought to be. Some think the electronic parking brake weird. Like the CVT, new may seem strange, but once you get used to it, you may think, "That makes sense." Subaru has a reputation for quirky cars and devoted fans. If innovative is quirky, this car qualifies and created a new fan.

  • A Clear Winner - 2010 Subaru Outback

Just turned a thousand miles on my new green Outback. We needed something larger than my Forester XT for practical reasons, and we looked at various options. Few non-humongous SUVs and wagons have much space behind the middle seats, and of course theyre heavy and gluttonous. And expensive. This car is wonderful, a combination of room, comfort and economy (and low cost) thats not available elsewhere. Most people buying anew car should consider one of these if they need room at all.
