Overview & Reviews
The 2007 Subaru Forester lineup includes two additional trim levels, the Sports 2.5 X and Sports 2.5 XT, which offer a hip styling motif inside and out. In other news, all Foresters except the base 2.5 X model get an upgraded CD player with MP3, WMA and CD-RW capability. It's also Sirius Satellite Radio-ready and has an auxiliary jack for connecting handheld MP3 players. Additionally, the base 2.5 X gains electronic brakeforce distribution, while the Forester XT Limited gets standard 17-inch wheels. The front door panels in all Subaru Foresters now have bottle holders, and the base engine now meets the PZEV standard in California and the Northeastern states. Lastly, the turbo engine has been re-rated for 224 horsepower.
- Class-leading crash test scores, standard all-wheel drive, rides and handles like a car, powerful turbo engine.
- Tight legroom in the backseat, too much road noise at highway speeds.

Forester after One Year - 2007 Subaru Forester
By FrannyForester - December 7 - 6:10 amI have had my Forester for more than one year now. This is my first AT after 40 years on the road. It has been very dependable and is fun to drive. I have an aging mother who needs a walker, and the Forester accommodates it easily. Also, it is easier for her to enter than my previous car. I have had to drive in some severe weather, and the AT has proved easier to handle than I expected.

Getting thrown back into your seat - 2007 Subaru Forester
By Surftaco - October 5 - 3:13 pmSo far I have this car for about a week now and let me tell you this sucker is fast! I average about 19 MPG in the city which is not bad at all for a 226hp turbo w/auto tranny. I get a lot of looks too. Due to the awesome WR Blue paint job.

Mixed Feelings - 2007 Subaru Forester
By RPR - August 19 - 3:46 pmMy first Subaru and a pretty decent car overall, but some shortcomings. Brakes had to be adjusted for shuddering after purchase & now squeal at 12000 mi. Engine makes a variety of strange noises I have never heard in another vehicle. "Normal" says the dealer. A/T is sometimes rough; the dealer has advised me of a service bulletin which will hopefully cure the problem. Road noise is pronounced.

Buy in 2008 - 2007 Subaru Forester
By joann - July 15 - 7:53 pmForester ownership has been my greatest driving experience in the last 50 years. I have owned 11 cars over those years, and this is the best!! My 2007 Forester is perfect, an SUV that is not too wide, not too long and not too far off the ground. What more could you ask for? It is easy to drive, to wash and to fit in our garage. Thank you for designing Forester.

It makes you equal to the big SUVs - 2007 Subaru Forester
By 2008 Subaru Forester - May 13 - 5:00 pmI loved this car immediately for the feeling of being equal and "up there" with the big SUVs. It has the small car handling with the bigger car space. The gas mileage is adequate. I feel good in this car.

Weak Windshields - 2007 Subaru Forester
By emily - January 31 - 2:23 pmYes, windshield(s). In 2009, after owning the car for two years, driving the car on the highway, there is a crack in the windshield. Replaced the windshield and a year later in August 2010, driving car on the highway and there is a crack again. Had a Toyota Corolla from 1994-2006 and the car hood flew up into the windshield on the highway and there were ZERO cracks on the windshield. What is wrong with Subarus windshields or window frame? It shouldnt crack so easily against rocks flying around on the highway. Its the highway, there is always going to be loose rocks. Perplexed.

Awesome Vehicle - 2007 Subaru Forester
By pgh8959 - August 26 - 4:13 amThis is the 4th Subaru that I have bought. It is a blast to drive. A true sleeper when challenged. I have left a few cars in the dust thinking they can out run me. I have the WR blue and get a lot of compliments on the looks. I would recommend Subaru to everyone. Spend the extra money and get the turbo. You will be glad you did.

World Rallye Blue Turbo - 2007 Subaru Forester
By Subie Driver - August 18 - 3:20 amResponsive engine. Excellent passing power in the mountains. So much torque that it normally doesnt have to shift down to pass. Large moonroof (twice the size of a normal one). Great ground clearance for rough roads and snow. VDC (stability control) came on this model and provides extra measure of security. We live where there is lots of inclement weather. Versatile interior with lots of head room.
