The 2006 Scion xB receives a new steering wheel with audio controls, and the Pioneer audio system has a new head unit design and remote mini-jack port for portable music sources. Additionally, the xB wagon offers dedicated Apple iPod connectivity, which delivers iPod display information and allows unit control and recharging through the audio system. In other news, the xB's horsepower rating drops from 108 to 103 due to new SAE testing procedures.

I think this is a great vehicle. The interior has plenty of room . My husband is 6 feet tall and has plenty of room in it. It gets great gas mileage.

I did a lot of research before I bought this car, and I have no regrets! I bought the 5-speed manual. We live in snow country and it handles like a dream with studded tires. There is a ton of room inside. I like the look of the car. I have averaged 32 mpg from the start. The only thing I missed was a center arm rest but hey, with the over all quality and gas mileage thats not a biggie. Yes I know I can buy a center arm rest, but thought it a bit pricey. I had a PT Cruiser for many years, and did not give it a second thought when I drove away in my xB. I dont feel this car lacks power but then, I dont feel the need to drive at 70 mph, 55 mph is just fine.

I looked at Honda, Hyundai and Toyota cars and suvs and the xb won hands down. My local dealers didnt have any in stock so I found mine at seeger Toyota in St. Louis, mo. I flew in and my salesman even picked me up at the airport and was truly a great guy that had my xb washed and full of fuel. I am in my 50s and own and drive street rods and race cars I still have a blast driving my little"xbox" I also get a chuckle out of the other old guys that dont get it.

This is my first new car. I did not like it until I drove it, but then I knew right away that it was the car that I had to have. Unless you plan on drag racing, the engine gets the job done. The interior design is brilliant. The head room is amazing and the leg room in the front and rear is more than most SUVs. The rear seats fold flat to make room for cargo. The sound system is fantastic with the iPod aux hook up. The automatic was sluggish so I went with the manual. I get between 33-37 mpg depending on how much highway driving is done on each tank, much better than EPA estimates. For the price and standard features, this car is a steal.

  • Wow - 2006 Scion XB

I bought the xB for its cheap price tag and great gas mileage. It has a very spacious interior and great gas mileage. I use less than a tank of gas for driving under 300 miles a week. The sound system is awesome. The 1.5L engine has quite enough power for this light weight (2,500 lbs.) vehicle. It has more get up and go than the 2003 Saturn 2.2L I had with better gas mileage to boot. What more could you ask for? It has good reliability with its Toyota drivetrain, spacious interior, and "unique" exterior. The xB is a nice highway cruiser too, and its fun to drive. Dont believe the naysayers. I dont need the cruise control. Ive never really used it in the other cars Ive had cruise control in.

  • Its Fun - 2006 Scion XB

I love the box. It has so much room and how youre seated provides a great view of the road. Its leg room is excellent, even in the back seat. I have a son whos 350 lbs. + and 63" and he loves the room. It has a great stereo. It feels good on the road, it is as much fun to drive as my first Bug that I got back in 1973. So many people want to sit in it and drive it, Toyota should be paying me. A work associate who is almost six feet nine inches tall said it was the first vehicle he ever got in in his life he did not have to duck to get into. And the 33 mpg is great.

  • The little Box that could - 2006 Scion XB

My Scion xB Auto has so far impressed me. I have a wife and 2 3/4 year olds so it fits our family perfectly. Our first road trip of 700 miles went well. The xB drove beautifully. It does lack the grunt to climb big hills and the door panels and other interior parts scuff very easily. I can live with that because the ride is nice and tight and the little box gets great MPG. The cernter mount speedo/tach is nice. I thought it would be difficult to get used to since it first appears a little quirky. This was not the case. Its very easy to read and keep your eyes on the road. The seats are comfortable for the longer legs of a journey and the engine is smooth/quiet at around 70-72 MPH.

  • Fantastic Little Car - 2006 Scion XB

This car turns heads. I think it was the looks I first noticed. Before I even considered a car in this class, I liked the look of it. I like distinctive cars. Then I drove it, and was sold. This thing is huge amounts of fun to drive. In fact, its huge in a few ways. Huge fun to drive. Huge room inside. Huge potential for making it *mine*. Huge attitude! And small in others. Small small fuel consumption. Small price tag. Small on the road. Economical? Fun? Cheap? Eye catching? There is very little to not like.

  • Gotta Love the Box - 2006 Scion XB

I find the Scion xB to be quite roomy. I was going to buy an xA untill I drove the xB and I wanted the extra room that the xB provides. It handles great, its fun to drive and it begs to be customized. I spent over three months researching and agonizing on what car to buy before I came to this decision and I feel you cant go wrong with an xB. It has everything I could ask for: reasonable fuel economy, seating for five, and cargo space when I need it.

  • Great Vehicle - 2006 Scion XB

I couldnt be happier in my Scion xB. This car rides better than my 2004 Toyota RAV4. It is fun to drive and I am getting about 31 mpg around town. Its seats give great support and the interior cabin noise is almost nothing. The style of the vehicle takes time to grow on you since it is so radical but really love the looks now.
