The 2006 Scion xB receives a new steering wheel with audio controls, and the Pioneer audio system has a new head unit design and remote mini-jack port for portable music sources. Additionally, the xB wagon offers dedicated Apple iPod connectivity, which delivers iPod display information and allows unit control and recharging through the audio system. In other news, the xB's horsepower rating drops from 108 to 103 due to new SAE testing procedures.

  • combat toaster... mini-mini van - 2006 Scion XB

I needed to get something good on gas ($3 per/gallon was on the horizon). My Hemi powered Dodge 2500, while needed, is thirsty. Not to mention a bear to drive around town. I looked at several gas misers, but wanted something with more usefulness then past festivas. After test drives, and reading I bought an xB. It was an easy purchase, $20 filled the tank (although, sadly more is needed now!) and its handles city driving like a roller skate!

The Scion xB is THE CAR to own! A friend let me drive his xB and I was sold. I purchased it when I was 59 years young (Im now "60"!) It is comfortable, practical, fun, attractive, economical and dependable. I would buy another one in a heartbeat! Yeah, SCION - TOYOTA hit this one out of the park!

  • Love my toaster car! - 2006 Scion XB

I purchased my Scion XB brand new in "06 with 6 miles on the speedometer. I use it like a cargo van for my business. It can hold two huge white Igloo ice chests with room to spare plus two bikes and a kayak on top for camping. I had mine fitted with a Yakima rack system on top. I get great milage unless its loaded down. Normal Hwy is 36 mpg with two people and minimal baggage. It only gets about twenty when loaded down, but wth, It beats driving my one ton truck.

  • xB is Xcellent! - 2006 Scion XB

I had no idea what an xB was until I saw one on a used car lot and test drove it. Finding that a new one was just a bit higher in price, I could not rest until I had one. I just got it and love it.

  • My Popcorn Popper - 2006 Scion XB

I purchased a used 2004 Scion xB that I found on the Internet and drove it from CT to IN with no problem. I wanted to buy a new car, but this car had $2,000 in accessories and he sold it for $1,000 less than the blue book price. The previous owner tinted the back windows with a darker tint, and I was concerned about seeing other drivers. After almost 3 weeks, I am finally getting used to driving a manual, now it just comes natural. My hubbie calls it a popcorn popper, because it gets good gas mileage! I am totally pleased.

245,567 MILES and still going! I got this 2006 scion xb when I moved out 70 miles from my work. I ran this car for 5 years driving to work and back. I LOVE IT! Its really fun to drive and made my commute much easier. I got over 300 miles per tank. This is a reliable car.. All I can recall that I have replaced was 5 sets of tires and about 50 oil changes. Will never get rid of this CHAMP!

The Scion xB is an exceptional little car with many perks. It is a real eycatcher, headturner, and has great great economy and reliability. I use it as a rolling billboard for our company.

  • my pip squeak - 2006 Scion XB
    By -

As my grand-daughter calls my xB, a pip squeak, it goes good the motor wont snap a bean or neck, but the xB turns heads. Plenty of room for 4 big men and I get, with the modifications Ive done, 41 mpg in town. Ive got a bad back therefore I installed a drivers and passenger racing seats. Plenty of glass with excellent sight lines. I installed p215x60x15 tires because the automatic transmission needs another gear. But my toaster on wheels is GREAT!

  • I Love My 06 xB! - 2006 Scion XB

The first time I saw this car was in the dealership. It was love at first sight. I went home and told my husband about it, but he didnt believe that the car was so spacious. So after one month of waiting he finally decided to go to the dealership with me to take a close look at it, and he also fell in love, and finally got me the car.

The 2006 Scion xB is a great car and a great buy. It is a little short on power, but makes up for this in the wallet when pumping gas!
