This Year's Model Updates:

The 2007 Scion tC hatchback sees its lineup expand with the addition of a new, stripped-down, less expensive trim level. Dubbed the Spec trim, Scion's intention is to have this model serve as a blank canvas to be used as a starting point for customization. The Spec trim trades the base trim's 17-inch wheels for 16-inchers, foregoes the base model's power sunroof for a fixed glass roof and offers unique upholstery and interior trim.

Pros:
  • Many standard features, sharp handling, roomy cabin, value-oriented price.
Cons:
  • A couple of odd design elements, bland styling.

  • Great car but not for all - 2007 Scion TC
    By -

I had to get rid of my TC 2.5 years because of an accident so I figured now would be a good time to write a review. Things I liked: Fun car to drive Great car to learn/relearn manual Very flexible so easy to haul big things Things I didnt like: Not very good in rain/snow Tires wore out too quickly Mileage would go down unless driven on perfect road Bottom line: This is a great car for a small commute and if you want to learn manual. But there are better cars IMO. I bought this car after having a 97 Civic for 9 years and the Civic would drive no differently rain or shine and I always got the same mileage even with my foot all the way down. Tuner parts are expensive too.

This is my first time with Scion. I love the car more every day. I cant wait for it to warm up so that I can open up the sunroof.

  • Great car! - 2007 Scion TC

I have not had any problems so far with my tC. I am currently averaging 27.5 MPG which is great since I drive a mix between highway and city. The car rides very smooth, and gets going really quick. The look is classy yet sporty. Lots of room in the back for people and storage. Headroom for rear passengers is the only problem I could say.

  • Best Value For Money Bargain - Best Buy - 2007 Scion TC

This is the best car out there for the money. I shopped many cars when buying this one and took a good three months before deciding after test drives and reading reviews. This car beats the Corolla, Civic, and Sentra hands down for the money. You can get many more standard features in it than in a Honda Civic EX. With this car you save at least $5,000-$7,000 with the same features. I drive it 100% in the city and it gets just 19-22 mpg as advertised. You can get up to 33-35 mpg at 70 mph on the freeways. Overall I am a very satisfied Toyota customer. Dont go by the negative reviews out there, some people dont understand cars at all. Period.

  • Excellent Value! - 2007 Scion TC

Little did I know that after comparing many value priced cars, that Id pick a Scion tC. First off, I didnt know that Scion means "Decendant" and that its a decendant company of Toyota. Once that was known, and I had read many GREAT reviews for the 2007 Scion tC, it was time to go test drive one. I traded in a much more expensive sports car on my new silver Scion tC, but it was done for a lower monthly payment and insurance costs, better gas mileage, the ability to use Regular unleaded gas, etc. My first thought when I sat in the drivers seat and closed the door was "Man! This car is built SOLID!" And it is. It wasnt anything like I was expecting - cheapo quality - NOT here! Its a Toyota!

I bought the tC to commute to work in. I thought it would make the otherwise boring drive fun and something to look forward to. I was right. My favorite features are the sunroof, including its shade, the manual trans and the stereo. The car handles well and gets a lot of attention. My commute is 50 miles each way and I always get at least 30 mpg. It is a mix of country roads, boulevard stop and go, and freeway. On the highway I get 32-36, depending on my level of enthusiasm. Ive had no problems after 14K miles and wouldnt change anything about this car. This is my 3rd Toyota. I suppose because it is under priced, it is compared to lesser cars. Fair enough. Its good no matter what.

I really like the way the outside of the car has been styled and when I got in i quickly fell in love with the way the car was put together. I like how the dash wraps around the driver making all of the controls easily accessible. the standard features of the car are awesome; moon/sunroof, power windows and locks, stereo controls on the steering wheel, and alloy wheels.

I just bought this car and I love it. I have no regrets about buying it at all. I love the style of it inside and out. It is very comfortable to drive and it gives me all the space I need. After test driving a couple of other cars I finally found the perfect car for me. I also love the fact that everyone turn their heads twice to look at it. If you want attention, this is the car for you.

  • weather u got problems - 2007 Scion TC

I guess we didnt do our homework. When it rains or snows we do not use this car at all. You are all over the road. We wanted a good dependable car all year round, but not with this. We even bought winter tires and it did not help the problem. We didnt realize when it is a high performance car there is not much weight to the car abd thus you are all over the road when the weather turns bad.
