Overview & Reviews
A new 3.5-liter V6 replaces the previous 3.0-liter unit. Larger 17-inch wheels and tires are now standard on the V6 AWD model and optional on the front-wheel-drive version. Antilock brakes are standard on all V6 models. The interior has been upgraded to reduce noise and now incorporates metallic and leather trim. The front seats now have seatbelt pre-tensioners and dual-stage front airbags. New entertainment choices include MP3-compatible CD players, satellite radio and a rear-seat DVD entertainment system (late availability).
- Strong V6, large doors ease entry/exit, spacious cabin, comfortable ride, excellent crash test scores, good fuel economy.
- Bland interior, low-grade plastics, inconsistent build quality, noisy four-cylinder, vague steering.

2004 sautrn vue - 2004 Saturn VUE
By jbk - March 8 - 2:00 amThe response, while not high performance, is exceptional in the 6 cylinder motor. Gas mileage is surprisingly as promised at the dealership (24 town, 26 highway). Steering response is acceptable, while not oversensitive.

A seat with a Vue - 2004 Saturn VUE
By yhensley - March 8 - 2:00 amI really have enjoyed by Vue. I have had many people stop me and ask about my experience with my Vue. They also comment on its sporty look. I must agree.

Great Car - 2004 Saturn VUE
By tuco - February 26 - 10:00 amExcellent UTE! Great price and lots of room. Love the 5 speed, sports package and no dings. Outstanding value and reliability. Saturn takes care of their customers and treats everyone with respect. Lots of return buyers.

Happy to be rid of it - 2004 Saturn VUE
By finally free - February 25 - 10:46 amAt 32K the transmission went. Are you kidding me? I was initally worried about the strenght of the 4cyl as I do a lot of on and off highway driving. I was assured that I wouldnt notice the difference from the V6. I was wrong. More often than not the car would stop as I was pulling out on the hw....not very safe. Very disappointing for the amount you pay and the fact that this car depreciates at an unreasonable rate.

My Saturn / My piece of junk - 2004 Saturn VUE
By Lou - January 27 - 8:06 pmIve had problems from day one with my Saturn Vue. Im still trying to get out of my lease. There are parts of the interior that are broken (air vent). I cut myself on the back door edge. It handles very poorly in the rain. The puddles pull it all over the road as if the car is too light. The tires will not keep the correct amount of air pressure on the passenger side. Why!? My model is a 5 speed manual. Its difficult to put into first and second gear. Ive owned three Saturns since 2000. I currently own a Saturn Ion and Saturn Vue.I think the quality and customer service satisfaction has really gone down hill. I will no longer recommend buying Saturns to anyone.

So far so good - 2004 Saturn VUE
By Albert - January 27 - 1:00 amI bought my Vue new in 2004 and now have 102,000 miles - almost exclusively highway miles. Overall, I am satisfied with the vehicle. Engine is fantastic - nice power and mileage. I have not had any significant maintenance expenses until recently. My biggest complaint are the brakes - really bad front pulsations that require the rotors to be refinished every 12K miles. Just replaced front stab bar links (very creaky) and right rear wheel bearing/hub assembly - it was producing very loud road noise. I plan on keeping this vehicle as long as I can and so far it has been a nice car. I just wish I knew of a better front brake combination than OEM parts.

Saturn Vue Redline Model - 2004 Saturn VUE
By pleased1 - January 15 - 10:00 amI purchased the saturn vue redline. I love the exterior of the vehicle and the drive. It handles well on the highway. Though the noise level was a problem at times. Hopefully the designers will work on these things for the next model. Overall I do love my saturn.

Good Looking, but!..... - 2004 Saturn VUE
By vicbrum - January 9 - 10:00 amOne of the best Looking S.U.Vs around, but lacks refinament very cheap interior. The four cylinder is noisy and lacks the power of the europeans competitors, the fuel economy is poor and the gas tank small for this kind of vehicle, does less than 300 on a full thank of gas.Strange for an S.U.V. not to have anything for a passenger to hold on to ride, enter ou exit the vehicle.

The Honda engine is great - 2004 Saturn VUE
By Jim - December 14 - 8:03 amI really like the way my VUE accelerates. The 250hp V6 Honda engine makes it by far the best Saturn Ive owned (the VUE is my third Saturn). Its exactly what I wanted: nice styling, great pick-up when you step on the gas, and a good value. Oh yeah, smooth ride too.
