This Year's Model Updates:

The 2003 9-3 is an all-new design from top to bottom. It rides on a new platform, has new engines and an interior that's considerably more modern than the previous version.

Pros:
  • Sharp handling, frugal yet powerful engines, generous passenger room, class-leading trunk space, excellent audio systems.
Cons:
  • Some turbo lag at lower speeds, not as vaultlike as some of its European competitors, front-wheel drive also a slight disadvantage.

  • Its the Best Value Used Car out there - 2003 Saab 9-3

Its no secret that Saabs dont hold there value. I bought a one year old Vector that MSRP for $38,400 for $23,500 from the local Saab dealer with 10,000 miles. I now have 75,000 miles and it still looks like new. I get 32mpg around town and 37mpg on a trip the 4 cly. Turbo has as much get up and go as any V6 out there. So far I have only replace the front brake pads and tires other than that its been 100% perfect. I highly recomend this car.

Had the car about 3 months now and love it more and more each passing day. It is great fun to drive, terrific handling and response. What a beast for a 4 cyl engine, it is giving me about 23 mpg city driving!!

Second 9 3 convertible Ive owned and just love it. Have had it all out in the twisties with the top down and its great fun. Always have people asking about it. Great car. Have had some minor trouble with the new one getting steering to track straight, both otherwise a great, tight , comfortable car.

This is a great car for the money. Much better car then either the Audi or BMW.

  • Fantastic Car - 2003 Saab 9-3

Great car and very fun to drive. Several of the reviewers complain of annoying door rattles, this happened with my Saab as well. There are two screws in the doors which come loose after repetitive opening and shutting-- it took the dealer 20 seconds to fix. I was considering the 9-3 and the CTS when I went looking to buy. The 9-3 truly drives like a luxury car, which is more than I can say for the Caddilac CTS. Paying a little extra for the upgraded radio with the six disc changer and infotainment center is a must.

  • Love the new 9-3 - 2003 Saab 9-3

This is the first car I have owned that I feel I just might actually love. Fun to drive, gets around curves with little effort, good turbo punch with very little lag, lots of room up front, great driver interior layout - and so on and so on.

  • Marvellous Saab - 2003 Saab 9-3

Saab has delivered a serious competitor to BMWs and Audis at an EXTREMELY competitive price - the 93 sports sedan is fast, safe, and packed with standard features that would cost $000s in similar European cars. Handling, agility and stylish looks are major pull factors. I test drove every car in its class and then some and for the money, there is no question that this is the leader of the pack.

The car is amazing. I bought it last year and it runs perfectly. Comfortable, reliable, and for those of you who would never consider a Saab in the past, you may want to start looking :).
