This Year's Model Updates:

The 2003 9-3 is an all-new design from top to bottom. It rides on a new platform, has new engines and an interior that's considerably more modern than the previous version.

Pros:
  • Sharp handling, frugal yet powerful engines, generous passenger room, class-leading trunk space, excellent audio systems.
Cons:
  • Some turbo lag at lower speeds, not as vaultlike as some of its European competitors, front-wheel drive also a slight disadvantage.

  • outstanding! - 2003 Saab 9-3

With so few Vectors in the Washington DC area, I feel very lucky to have gotten one. After test driving the sea of competition (audi, 04 maxima, G35) this was the car for me. Great handling, performance, acceleration, and design. I get lots of looks and complements on my car. The interior is well thought out, the seats are remarkably comfortable, all the gauges are easy to read, and the "driver settings" for heat, air, etc are great and the xenons are a must have!! Drive one and youll be sold! Ive got BMW owners drooling over this one!

my new 9-3 has been one of the best cars that I have ever owned. Saab of Santa Ana as well as my dealer representative Jeff Jones have been great. GO SAAB!!!

I love my Saab 9-3. It is solidly built, with no shakes or rattles. Pick up is quick thanks to the turbo. Fit and finish is top notch and equivalent to BMW and Audi. Interior design is such that you feel comfortable and not crampt. Service is top notch, a step above my previous Japanese and American service experiences. My 3 year old said it best, "Cool car Dad...I like it"

  • Great Car! - 2003 Saab 9-3

I moved to this from a 200SX Nissan RWD Turbo Coupe. I was at first apprehensive about getting a FWD but I was pleasantly surprised once I got behind the wheel. While its still a tad not as fun as my previous ride, it surprisingly comes close to it, for the heavy car that it is! Fuel economy is miles better than my ex and its way more comfy. Not sure about the reliability though. After a month the passenger side window stopped working and I had to get the entire rail changed. Other than that, its been sweet but its been only 5 months. Very good boot space and spacious at the back. The worst thing about this car is the stereo system, my 150 dollar self installed HU in my ex is WAY better.

  • New 9-3 Just What Saab Needs - 2003 Saab 9-3

The new Saab 9-3 Linear is just what Saab has needed for many years. This car epitomizes fun to drive -- truly a pleasure in wet, snow, and on dry pavement. The 9-3 is sure footed and give the driver all of the information needed. Smooth acceleration and all the power you need for around town or on the road. Great storage and styling and phenomenal safeth features. The radio controls are a little daunting at first, but once you get used to them, theyre really quite logical. A definite winner!

  • I love it!!!! - 2003 Saab 9-3

Plain and simple: I love it! Its only been a little over a month, but I couldnt be happier. It has solid power and incredible comfort--Im 64" and I have room to spare in all directions. And if I dont watch it, Ill be driving 90, but it feels like 40. Its better than my mothers Lexus and brothers TL. It has every gadget my fathers 7-series has (and is more comfortable sit in). The plain and simple truth is that I now find reasons to go out and drive.

This has been the best car I have ever owned. The car is a blast to drive and has proven to be extremely economical to own over the last 4.5 years. Very pleased with how its holding up. Outside of oil changes, tires and brakes, no issues whatsoever.

This is my 2nd SAAB and I absolutely love it. It was even better than my first one. I recommend anyone buying a SAAB. Very reliable and so much fun to drive.

This is our first Saab and boy are we impressed. I can usually drive 5-6 hours and I tire out .... took this on a 450 mile trip and I never tired and Im not small either - 61" and 220. I previously did a lot of braking on the PA Turnpike with our SUV but not with this 9-3 which handled the curves excellently. Ran this first trip fairly hard at 75 mph thru the mountains and still averaged 33-34 mpg. Were so satisfied with the car and the dealership that my wife and I have decided to trade in our loaded Chevy SUV and get a 9-5 so weve really become a Saab family.
