This Year's Model Updates:

For the 2006 Nissan Titan, SE crew cabs can be ordered with a sunroof, and the LE trim now comes with two new features: standard dual-zone climate control and upgraded side mirrors that have heat, power-fold, auto-dimming and turn signal capability. Other updates for the Nissan truck include MP3-compatible audio systems and a change to allow the stability control system to be ordered with the locking rear differential.

Pros:
  • One of the best drivetrains in its class, smooth-riding suspension, spacious and functional cabin, innovative design features, available stability control and side airbags.
Cons:
  • Limited drivetrain and body style choices, no heavy-duty models, burly exhaust note can get annoying on long drives.

  • Great truck....Go Nissan! - 2006 Nissan Titan

Makes a great work truck, and has a very comfortable ride. With 31,000 miles in 10 months, this rig is taking a beating. I recommend this truck to anyone who wants to have a lot of fun driving a very tough rig many thousands of miles. Heres to hoping I make it to 175,000mi w/out any major issues. :) PS...The brake replacement from Nissan is working nicely.

Only had this Titan 2 weeks but it is a blast to drive. Too early to tell about reliability problems, but runs great so far.. gas is not too bad considering it is a full size pickup. I love the smoke color and get a lot of looks from others. Some even come up to me in traffic and ask how I like it! So far so good. I would recommend this truck to anyone!

I got the off-road version and love it. Great acceleration, quiet ride except for the great sounding exhaust, well designed interior, and tremendous pulling power for towing our travel trailer. It handles extremely well for a truck and does not lean in the least on high speed turns. Ride is a little on the stiff side but that is the way it should be for a truck. The huge tires roll easily over potholes that jarred my smaller SUV. Mileage is only 15 mpg for around town type of driving but I didnt expect any better. Build quality is way superior to Ford, Chevy, and Dodge and perhaps comparable to the Toyota. The Toyota was unacceptable for us due to its lack of towing ability.

Bought this truck over a year ago, have over 26,000 miles and it is the best. Powerful, comfortable, good stability, good brakes, excelent handling! Installed two magnaflows and improved a couple of miles per gallon. This truck is well built and will keep high resale value.

We love our new Nissan Titan. It is the best purchase we made. Out of all the cars and trucks we have owned, this is the best.

  • Overall an excellent truck - 2006 Nissan Titan

Overall, I have been very satisfied with my 2006 Majestic Blue Crew Cab 4WD Nissan Titan LE. I have had to bring it back to the dealer for a few things covered under warranty, but nothing major. Also, when installing aftermarket products, there is ABSOLUTELY no room in the engine compartment for anything additional. The cab is unbelievably spacious and comfortable, and the 5.6 Liter 8 is very bold. Sometimes a little too loose in the rear end though. I used to want my first truck to be Ford or Chevy, but after the release of the Titan I couldnt pass it up, and Im glad I didnt.

  • Great truck, too many problems @6,000 mi - 2006 Nissan Titan
    By -

Excellent looking, powerful, fun to drive truck. I get complimants almost daily about the looks. I currently have 6,000 miles, i have had all rotors and pads replaced as i had a nasty braking shimmey. Nissan had a service bulletin an this. Now my transmisson case is dripping fluid, my drivers window is loose and rattles when not shut tight. My one big disappointment when i purchesed it is it has no climate control, this is a $36,000 vehicle!! 2006 models no have it. I waited a model year before buying, i have contacted Nissan and am curious if i hear from them, other than that its back to the dealer for my newest repairs. I honestly love the truck!!!

  • 3 year update - 2006 Nissan Titan

Its coming up to 3 yrs since I bought my Titan. The cabin is very comfy, seats are soft, leg room all around is fantastic. Loads of power from the big V8, the truck is quiet with a decent sound system and has lots of fun toys like the bluetooth and an ipod connect. It rides very well for big a truck, easy over the bumps but feels very rugged at the same time. Definitely underrated in the truck segment. I just turned 50,000 miles with ZERO problems. Im just now looking at purchasing new tires... GREAT TRUCK

  • Nissan Got it Right - 2006 Nissan Titan

Nissan got it right when they built this truck. As a life-long F-150 man, I was skeptical getting into a different truck, but the Titan blew me away! The horsepower, towing capacity, handling and comfort are just as good or better than other full-size pick- ups. Plus, the sticker price is considerably less than other comparably- equipped pick-ups. I got a fully- loaded truck for thousands less than other manufacturers could offer. What a great truck!
