Overview & Reviews
ABS, cruise control and a security system become standard fare on 2.0 S models, while all 2008 Nissan Sentras gain auto-up convenience for the power driver window. Satellite radio is standard on the Sentra 2.0 SL. A manual transmission is no longer available on the base 2.0 model.
- Very spacious seating front and rear, straightforward control layout, quiet highway ride, speedy SE-R Spec V model.

31000 miles and plenty to Go! - 2008 Nissan Sentra
By Veenherbluesentra - August 29 - 4:56 pmOk, so Ive had my sentra for almost a year now. This car does well as far as gas mileage since I drive 50+ miles one way commuting back and forth to work. All and all its a great car with great gas mileage, only thing is the steering wheel is rather hard to steer, and limits your movement as far as hand placement. For a tall and thin sedan this car seems very grounded and handles curves alright.

16000 and still a great car - 2008 Nissan Sentra
By Tommy G - August 13 - 4:16 ami recently purchased this car used with nissans certified pre-owned program. That being said I cannot find anything inherently wrong with the car design without nitpicking. Yes the CVT transmission takes some getting used to and the stability when driving "spirited" leaves me wanting more. It is to say that this is a commuter vehicle and as such performs its daily tasks appropriatly to its design. No it is not a speed racer and its not ment to be. Seeing that the speed limit in my state is still 70 mph the sentra seems to work well at this speed for long distances. as for anyone complaining about the whirring noise from the transmission at speed needs to just turn some music on.

More good than bad but bumpy. - 2008 Nissan Sentra
By lira10315 - March 28 - 3:16 amThe biggest disappointment has been in the ride. Worst car of comfort ride ever. Also the visor covers half of the rear view mirror when down for sun protection. Love the features, stereo, steering column buttons and the placement of the shift selector. So far mileage is looking good, avg 29 mph. Dont know how long I will keep this because of the bumpy ride.

3Months - Not Raving but - 2008 Nissan Sentra
By grif_57 - March 11 - 10:26 pmSecond Review here. After 3500 miles. Here is how we feel about the car. Its very smooth. Period. The CVT is not bad to drive once you get used to pushing the throttle and letting it do its thing. I have had zero problems. Everything is working like day 1. Now a few suggestions. The arm rest stinks and the seat is a little soft but I like the height adjustment. Averaging over 30mpg, but I expected more. The readout on the dash is about 1.5 mpg optimistic. Got better with my VW Passat. The electric power steering feels a little soft. Overall I would still recommend this car.

Proud to say its ours - 2008 Nissan Sentra
By rosey - February 21 - 4:20 pmWe purchased this car from a used car shop and it only had 8,000 miles. We love the roominess and the wide front window. We have a black car and it looks so nice when we walk up to it somewhere. The real problem for us is that there is only a key entry on the drivers side. This is extremely inconvenient. If you are parked and want to put your elderly parent, young children, packages, poochie into the car you have to leave them there and go around into traffic. It was a stupid design "feature" and Nissan wasnt aware of it when I called. Go figure. They are to get back to me but I doubt it. Otherwise for driving around town it is pretty good.
