  • Rides/Drives like a 10 year old car - 2008 Nissan Sentra

I am in month 9 of my 24 month lease. I am not happy at all. I want to return this car. It only drove the first 1000 miles okay. Before I even reached my first 1000 miles, I felt that the cars brakes didnt stop the way they should. My husband thought I was being paranoid but it kept driving funny. Finally, I decided to take it in by 3000 miles to get checked. I was told, "Oh, by the way, the brake master cylinder needs to be replaced. It has been recalled." No one ever contacted me saying this part, a major part for stopping the car properly, was recalled. I barely feel safe driving this car and I have to drive my children. I have taken it back and am still not satisfied.

  • Nothing exciting - 2008 Nissan Sentra

Bought this car new for practical reasons (not a 4 door sedan type person), and overall a decent car. Smoothest engine Ive ever heard, bar none! CVT transmission works well and gas mileage averaged over 30 mpg. But overall a pretty boring drive. Handling is average, drivers seat too soft and lacks lumbar support, sun visor hits mirror when lowered, (bumper cover popped off, panels dont align well).

  • bad tires - 2008 Nissan Sentra

mileage is great if you can afford tires every 30,000 miles because of the tire alignment going bad all the time.

  • This Car is Dangerous! - 2008 Nissan Sentra

Winter arrived 8000 miles on the car, thats when the true problem came to life, the car was a accident waiting to happen, the car was impossible to control on the road, any ice or snow on the roads and you had to fight for your life to keep the car under control . We took the car back to the dealer and he said that the back tires were half worn out and he knew what the problem was, he changed the rear sub frames and torsion bar and said that he already changed these items on numerous Nissan Sentras and they were a factory defect, but Nissan will not cover the cost of new tires even though its their fault that they are worn out, Until these items are fixed THIS CAR IS VERY DANGEROUS

We have had our Sentra for about 2 years Cant keep tires on the back of it It wears out a set every 20000 miles Put a new set on at 36000miles and it messed them up in less than 6000 miles Took it to the dealer and they said the rear end was out of alignment but there was nothing they could do about it Called Nissan and they said there was not a problem with the car There is information all over the internet telling about the problem and how to fix it but Nissan keeps saying there is not a problem and to just change my tires every 6000 miles Would not own another Nissan ever!!!

  • 08 Sentra Um Not so good... - 2008 Nissan Sentra
    By -

I have had my Sentra for a little over 2 years now. At first, I thought it was a great car. It seems a little wimpy as I have had other 4cyl cars with more guts. The factory tires wore out after 15,000 miles and it seems like there isnt a shop that can do a proper alignment on it. It tracks to the left and when braking at highway speeds, the steering wheel shakes bad. The interior looks cool, but isnt built with the highest quality. I would not recommend this car to anyone. The only good thing about it is the gas mileage. I get 31.5 mpg on average.

  • Poor - Body Problems - 2008 Nissan Sentra

My first experience with Nissan has been horrible. My car is 6 months old and is rusting on both sides, back panel, below the doors. Nissan will not cover the defect even though there are many of the same make and model with the same problem. It drives well and I enjoy the vehicle but the interior plastic is also a problem with scratches from just normal use.

  • 2008 Sentra 2.0 Pros N Cons - 2008 Nissan Sentra
    By -

Pros, Nice color (Onyx Blue) good paint finish, decent stereo, decent mpg (31-34 mpg @ 70 mph), quiet ride, roomy, good AC, adjustable cupholder, reliable (so far) Cons, No ABS standard, no cruise control, hard seats, aux. in should be in center console, drivers seat should be centered behind steering wheel, steering wheel should be a softer material, cant read LCD displays with polarized sunglasses on, oversteer, cant fit my foot between brake pedal and center console to reach gas pedal (have to push tippy-to and is uncomfortable on long drives), lots of body sway when windy or near trucks at speed, bland performance, handling, car is seriously under engineered, cant believe no ABS

  • Brakes or noise - 2008 Nissan Sentra
    By -

Ive taken this car back to Nissan 5 times because when I apply brakes theres a grinding noise even after the rotors have been checked and new brake pads have been installed after I got a second opinion this noise still occurs Im afraid that if this continues to happen a worst problem will occur Ive driven enough cars to know that is not normal, but Im being told by the sales people and the service manager that this is no problem. Im a senior citizen and I feel that Ive been sold a lemon and that I will have to deal with it for 72 months the length of my contract. Per auto check this car has been in an accident. I need to know the Truth about.

  • Not all it is cracked up to be - 2008 Nissan Sentra

OK it looks nice. Here is a run down, ride home from dealership, TPMS came on, would not go off even though tires properly inflated. Returned to dealer, had to schedule appointment & wait & wait. Purchased replacement parts on line, it was faster than waiting in the lobby all day. Still not able to break 24 MPG even though I drive 75% uninterrupted highway miles every day. Estimated 33 MPG is just that, an estimate -"your cars mileage may vary, we cannot guarantee that you will get the stated performance." Also the car lags in the 25-35 mph range when accelerating like you suddenly started towing something behind your car.
