  • 62,000 miles and engine gone - 2007 Nissan Sentra

Car drove well for almost 3 years until one day at 62,000 miles check engine light came on. Took it to the dealer and was told engine had failed and needed to be replaced at a cost of $7000. Imagine my surprise that just after warranty on engine expired it needed a new one. Got 2nd opinion and was told the same. Engine misfired badly and knocked. Car had regular specified maintenance and was well cared for. Contacted Nissan but no help. Will never buy another Nissan. Car is now sitting awaiting a used engine at a cost of $2900,

  • Sentra is the best deal in its class - 2007 Nissan Sentra

We have had the Sentra 2 weeks now with 1100 miles on it, and we LOVE IT! We test drove the Ford fusion, Honda Civic and the Toyota Corolla and none of them compared to the Sentra for its ride, quietness and the features offered. We have been averaging 32.5 MPG on the city/highway trip I make each day. We highly recommend the Sentra and the dealership that we purchased the car from.

  • Awesome Car - 2007 Nissan Sentra

I now have 25k miles and not one problem. Im 64" and fit comfortably in the Sentra. Much more head room in the Sentra then any other compact car on the market. I drive smooth and easy (the speed limit)and get 28/29city and 36/38highway. I dont think you can find a better car for the money(I paid $15k).

  • Very practical vehicle - 2007 Nissan Sentra

I purchased my Sentra in 2007, new. I still own it, but I primarly drive a Forester XT premium now. I will say there are things I am very dissapointed in regarding these Sentras. Mostly, no antiloc brakes unless you have premium wheels. Also, the seats were very uncomfortable, for me, for long trips, but were fine for driving around town. The wheel and arm rests were designed so that you have to have your arm held up, which was uncomfortable as well. The screen tried to do a lot with very little resolution, and that was always somewhat annoying to me. Also, the car likes to get pushed around by the wind, and the trunk is rather large but the opening is restrictive. However, the car was virtually maintenance free... I did have some work done on a front wheel joint but otherwise nothing has ever needed to be repaired (I have 90K miles on the car). The engine was pretty peppy for a cheap, economy car and out performs the new 2016 models. The gas mileage was usually less than stellar on the interstate as the car is a big wind sail, but on hwys going 55 - 65 I would get over 40, routinely. I liked the layout of the dash and the color of the lights. The headlights gave great visibility. I really enjoyed the keyless entry features, those are awesome and I miss those more than anything with my new vehicle. I was looking forward to getting something else from the day I bought this car, but I knew that for the price (I paid 16 grand for it) it was worth it. 9 years of driving a decent looking, reliable, fuel economic vehicle for roughly 1800/year... I say that is a good deal! And it still is worth about 4500... So, if you see one of these used, I would say consider it if it is under 100,000. If over 100,000, you have a lot of expensive maintenance to do, such as flushing transmission, checking timing belt, new platinum spark plugs, probably needs new shocks.

Looks great and its fun to drive. The little computer is neat. But it gets lousy mileage! I was expecting a lot better than 23 mpg for mostly freeway driving.

  • Fantastic little thing. - 2007 Nissan Sentra

I was in need of a car and didnt put much thought into what I wanted. But what a good choice I made. I do mostly highway driving and get about 400 miles to the tank. I like the shifter being elevated. It is not a family car nor made for tall people. I am neither. The exterior is sharp. I work for a highline dealership and all my techs suggested this model. Its only been a few months but with Nissans reputation I do not expect any major issues.

  • I Love my Black Pearl! - 2007 Nissan Sentra

I needed good commuter car to drive about 44 miles round trip a day and wanted something cheap yet elegant. Looked at the 2008 Kia Rio and other small and older cars but I got what I wanted a black 2007 Nissan Sentra. It is such a nice car to drive! It sounds solid on the road and I love the way the doors slam. No cheap sounding clank! Its big enough for 4 people and looks great. I was going to pass the car to my 15 year old daughter to drive but I think Im going to have to buy her another car, I love this one too much to give it up.

The cars ok. Its too bad the cvt does not save as much gas as advertised. I only get 25-28 per gallon. The only good thing is the tech package, Bluetooth keyless stuff, etc. Other than that, the engines crying with high RPM which takes most of the gas.

  • Best Car Ever! - 2007 Nissan Sentra

This car isnt just a pretty face, but what a face it is. With superior fuel economy, amazing features, and relaxing driving experience I cant imagine going back to my old car (2002 PT Cruiser). Like a dream really it is. If youre considering buying this car stop thinking about it, and get to your local dealership now!

  • Great for SHORT drivers! - 2007 Nissan Sentra

Just got my new Sentra, but its my first new car ever, so my opinion may be biased in that its such a giant improvement over the last car I was driving. Although that was a Nissan as well & was still going strong with 186,000 miles on it. I love the new Sentra, much roomier than previous generations. The trunk is huge & the 60/40 is great for surfboards or snowboards. The ride is smooth & quiet. I just got the standard S model, but it pretty much has everything I need. Also Im very short, 49" and I love the height adjustment (see below). Overall just a great car.
